My old sleeping bag was completely worn out, but I still couldn’t choose a new one. It was supposed to be light, up to one kilogram, roomy and designed for spring and autumn weather, that is, for temperatures up to +5. At consistently lower temperatures, we don’t hold events, health is such a thing that it’s easy to lose it, and then you can fix it for years. In general, I took this fully synthetic model. However, light sleeping bags are made only from synthetics. Down is the stuffing for winter models, and not spring and autumn, more than enough and thin synthetic fibers. The sleeping bag is light and quite compact. Together with a compression bag, it weighs exactly one kilogram. This is a very good indicator and it is very felt in multi-day trips, or, as it is now fashionable to say, trekking tours. When you wander for 8-10 days over rugged terrain (Carpathians, Crimea, Caucasus), every extra hundred grams is well felt. By the way, we visited Crimea for the first time in three years. Nature has not changed much, but the prices are high for everything from transport to food. The device is convenient, I feel comfortable in it and even spacious. Thermal insulation for spring-summer suitable. It is also worth praising the waterproof impregnation of the outer nylon layer. The manufacturer promised dimensions in a compression bag: length 25 cm, diameter 15 cm. But the sleeping bag cannot be compacted in this way. The diameter turns out to be at least 18 cm, the length is all 28 cm. It seems that the difference is small, but the volume occupied by the backpack grows significantly. The price was a bit more expensive than I expected, but overall it's tolerable. |
