Convectors were purchased to organize heating in a room with an area of 44 square meters. The management allocated a tight budget, so we had to prioritize price above all else. Three of these convectors are more than enough for a room of 44 square meters. If you are heating from a cold state (+5...+7), they need to work at full power for just over two hours. Then switch to economy mode, and three kilowatts of heat can maintain a comfortable +18...+20 indefinitely. The design is extremely simple and, in the good sense of the word, foolproof. It is wound on a special refractory frame and in some places comes close to the body wall. Because of this, those very places are very hot. The situation is aggravated by the fact that the body metal is very thin, less than 0.4 mm in appearance, and heat does not diverge very readily over such a thin sheet. So, grabbing the bottom of the convector, you can easily get burned. Also, the thin metal of the case is easily crushed by any poke with something hard. Another problem with an open coil is the smell of burning dust. During cleaning, dust enters the air, sits on a hot spiral and a specific smell after that will last for a day or even two. |
