Model overview based on user reviews
The Sturm TC-9819-L is an electric stationary tile cutter that stands out in its price category, primarily due to its decent diamond blade, which is included. It features a powerful 800 W motor with a rotation speed of 2950 rpm, and supports mitre cutting from 0° to 45°. The water cooling function helps reduce dust, although the tray design is inconvenient, a common issue with similar models. Some users have noted that the table mounts and guides are fragile, requiring adjustments, and the table emits a loud hum during operation, necessitating ear protection. The water container lacks filling marks, making it challenging to gauge the correct level. Despite these drawbacks, the tile cutter is appreciated for its performance, although the included cutting disc may cause chipping on various tile types. Overall, while it has its flaws, it remains a viable option for those seeking an affordable tile cutter with basic functionality.
Pros
Cons
- No dust. - Fragile table mounts and, especially, the guides, securing them with a ruler is quite the exercise; - Bent guides (U-shaped, stamped), need to be adjusted with a hammer while controlling the curvature; - The table, due to its construction and mounting, emits a piercing ringing hum (using earplugs is mandatory); - It is impossible to install a full water container, you need to insert it and then pour in water to the desired level; - There are no filling marks on the water container, the required level is checked "by eye" by the wetting of the disk, and finally determined by controlling the volume of liquid spreading on the floor :) - To extract the container, you need to scoop out some water to a level that allows for removal without spilling the remaining water; - The included cutting disc is of low quality, chipping occurs on all types of tiles, including ceramic granite and soft materials.... use Sturm TC-9819-L month or more i recommend it don't buy |
I recommend. One of the best in its price category, I was surprised by the diamond blade, which is quite decent and comes complete with a tile cutter. The tray is inconvenient to use, but almost all tile cutters of this type have this problem; use Sturm TC-9819-L month or more i recommend it should buy |
