This is a middle-class TV, but while Sony tends to be middle-class, Chinese brands in their lineups are considered business)) I deliberately did not chase after 4K screen models and tempered my appetite with regular FullHD because I don’t have the most I have good eyesight, but I don’t wear glasses as a matter of principle. As a result, from a distance of two meters and further on a forty-inch screen, 1920x1080 and 3840x2160 look exactly the same to me. A modern FullHD TV without the gimmicks of "technology of tomorrow" style. When tomorrow comes, I'll get a 55-inch UltraHD, but for the forty-inch version, 1920x1080 is quite a good resolution. My current small apartment doesn't allow for a larger screen, so better a decent smart bird in the hand than… well, you get the idea )) This model features one of the most modern 8-bit VA type panels with Edge-LED backlighting. It shows decent maximum brightness, improved contrast (Local Dimming helps here as well), and the best possible viewing angles. As a modern television should, it has Smart TV, but here Sony got a little creative (see below). DLNA is supported, and I set up connections "over the air", i.e., via the built-in WiFi module. The software player can play files from USB flash drives and hard drives, supporting a wide range of compression formats. The sound isn't the most powerful, just 2x5W, but surprisingly high quality. Why Sony uses the Opera TV system in its smart TVs is completely unclear. This is a dead-end branch of development; this system can only survive if the Chinese become interested in it and use it in their own brands. The built-in player does not understand HEVC encoding. |
