The file copying speed will not change, as they will be transferred to the hard drive, not the SSD. The latter is used here only for caching. A very interesting solution, I liked the idea right away. At first, I wanted to buy a regular SSD and an external hard drive, but then I learned about these models and had no doubts. I do need a decent capacity after all, but a 500 GB SSD costs insane money. Constantly using an external hard drive is just inconvenient. I use it in a white MacBook from 2010. The speed has noticeably increased, I saw that immediately. But miracles don't happen, later I compared its performance with a similar laptop and an SSD. Even though its RAM is even less than mine, its performance is still noticeably higher. I didn't conduct any tests, but it's perfectly visible to the eye.
