Model overview based on user reviews
The Rotex RTB 890-B is a versatile immersion blender that effectively doubles as a food processor, thanks to its extensive range of attachments. It excels in dicing, chopping, and making purees, with a powerful 1000W motor and smooth speed control. Users appreciate its ability to quickly prepare dishes like Olivier salad and mashed potatoes, and its efficient chopper blade is a highlight. However, some users report issues with the plastic components, particularly the vegetable cutter and bushings, which can lead to breakage or deformation. The blender's design could be improved, especially regarding the durability of certain parts. Despite these drawbacks, it remains a popular choice for its multifunctionality and reasonable price, making it a practical addition to any kitchen.

Considering the prices of blenders, this is a very good option.

Overall, the blender is good, primarily as a blender with a standard stainless steel shaft and a chopper blade. Your wife will definitely appreciate that you took care of her and gifted her a seemingly versatile helper. And if you're not worried about food waste from cut-offs, then it's an even more excellent gift.
Another tip: after use, wash the blender and attachments immediately, especially if you're making mashed potatoes.
For ladies with long nails – be prepared that this isn't very convenient for a blender, as you need to keep the speed button pressed constantly. But if I'm not mistaken, that's standard for most blenders.
If you want to buy a blender – think carefully about what's important for you in it (which functions you need: making purees, cream soups, grinding nuts, cheese, vegetables, whipping creams, etc.) and don't get swayed by numerous attachments.
A large number of attachments that conveniently and effectively transform the blender into a food processor, but unfortunately, this can also be considered a downside.

Among the pros, I'll mention:
1) Effective dicing attachments – perfect for fans of Olivier salad and vinaigrette as it's convenient, fast, and creates minimal waste since vegetables only have one option to exit – through the screen;
2) Practical handheld blender leg – mixes/prepares soft, boiled foods, fruits, and liquids perfectly;
3) Excellent (so far) chopper blade – this is my wife's main joy: in just seconds, meat was turned into very fine mince, with waste being only a few sinews; nuts turned out great, bananas too; onions relatively well, but better than with a special slicing disc; we’ll try pepper and poppy seeds for the holidays;
4) Successful potato puree attachment – cooks quickly and efficiently, but washing it afterward isn't very pleasant;
5) Dough kneading attachment – my wife used it to knead bread dough, and you know, it truly saves time and prevents dough from getting under your nails. The only thing is: since the dough should be well-kneaded, after using the attachment (which mixes everything in 2 minutes), my wife still added oil and kneaded it a bit by hand;
6) A convenient and necessary measuring cup.
1) Significant waste, especially when using slicing discs;
2) The whisk and beaters for whipping and kneading are only useful if you don't have a mixer at home since a blender cannot be used for an extended time to avoid overheating, and it needs to rest for 30 minutes after kneading one batch. We tried whipping cream twice for the frosting – with the whisk it's longer, but either way, for my wife, it's lengthy, loud, and inconvenient;
3) The grater disc – disappointment #1. A lot of small and large (whole slices) waste accumulates; whether you put a whole potato in or cut it into pieces, you end up having to collect the waste in the small bowl and chop it again or throw it out;
4) The dual-sided disc for slicing and shredding vegetables and fruits – disappointment #2. We don’t need slices; we tried once with potatoes – it doesn’t cut into entirely even pieces, but you do end up with slices. However, the reverse side for grating results in large amounts of waste, and while it may not be as noticeable with carrots, it's a failure with cabbage or onions. In short, for slicing a salad portion: cabbage + carrots, using the blender isn’t worth it;
5) The biggest disappointment for my wife is that the box listed a chopper with stainless steel blades for chopping (2-liter bowl), but it was not included in the set (although it’s mentioned in the manual; maybe it was stolen at the store), so processing 1 kg of meat is not possible, and constantly using the chopper for the small bowl (0.4 liters) is too exhausting for her.

I don’t recommend this brand of blender because it is not reliable.
8 December 2017
For a long time I was looking for an assistant in the kitchen and purchased a Rotex RTB890-B blender. I was seduced by the price and, of course, the rich set, but my joy did not last long. I decided to grate the potatoes into pancakes and what is the result, the potatoes are not grated and pieces remain that get stuck between the body of the lid and the grater itself, as a result of which the bottom of the bowl burst. After some time, I needed to whip cream into cream, I used a mixer attachment and it also upset me, the plastic sleeve melted and deformed from the heat, although the attachment worked for 2-3 minutes continuously, now it is impossible to use it.
Thoughtful equipment, reasonable price
The design of the vegetable cutter is not well thought out in engineering, the quality of the plastic on the bushings is poor (thin and soft)

Inexpensive multifunctional blender-based food processor
26 October 2017
It all started with the fact that I wanted to buy a blender. I began to look to choose, but since I don’t think very well in technology, I connected my husband. We saw this kind of combines built on the basis of a blender. It was interesting because we didn't have a food processor either. We thought, read, compared prices and it became clear that it makes sense to buy.
First, it's a good high-speed blender. It does an excellent job of grinding any not too hard foods, making pates, mashed soups, perfectly homogenizes sauces. Speed control is smooth, stepless. The power is good, it cuts and mixes almost without slowing down. Secondly, this is a whole food processor in which the blender plays the role of the first violin, and in a more mundane language, this is the role of an electric motor)) It can rub like a grater, cut into pieces, chop and even cut into cubes for salads. You can make Olivier with it much faster. In addition, he has a mixer attachment that beats eggs and sweet protein cream well. The kit also includes a separate nozzle and hooks for kneading dough (I haven’t tried it and, frankly, I’m afraid). In general, it is equipped very well. It also comes with a two-year full warranty from the manufacturer.
The blender seems to be of good quality, but there are complaints about some parts of the combine. The reducer in the lids of the two-liter bowl is made of plastic, and the speed of rotation of the blender is high. The husband says that you need to work with such a gearbox carefully, because if you load it immediately and strongly, then the plastic gears simply will not stand it.
