PROXXON MBS 240/E (27172)

A compact stationary band saw for straight and curved cutting of small workpieces from various materials in a home workshop. Depending on the characteristics of the blades used, this machine can cut wood and wood-based materials, workpieces made of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as plastic sheets and tubes. The quiet-running motor of the PROXXON MBS 240/E band saw has 85 W of power.

The work table measures 200×200 mm. The table tilt angle is adjustable from 0° to 45°. The maximum cutting depth is 80 mm. As cutting accessories, it uses endless band saw blades with a length of 1065 mm, a width from 3 mm to 6 mm, and a thickness from 0.3 mm to 0.6 mm. To adapt to different materials, the machine has a speed control allowing blade speed adjustment from 180 m/min to 330 m/min (the optimal speed for each material is indicated on the plate on the housing). The machine weighs about 8 kg.
