I heard a lot of good reviews about Plantronics headphones from two friends and bought myself this stereo headset. I use it for talking on Skype, in games and for listening to music. However, for music they are a stretch. In general, the impressions are pleasant, if not for one but. All the same could be obtained for much less money. The first thing you immediately notice is the low weight of the headset. The plastic headband looks small and fragile, but in fact it has enough strength and rigidity not to be afraid of breaking it. The headphones themselves are held on the headband with height-adjustable mounts. The adjustment stroke is sufficient for any head of an adult or teenager. The microphone is comfortable, swivel or, more precisely, folding. It rests on a frail, at first glance, leg, but, as with a headband, the first impression is deceptive. The speakers are small, their diameter is slightly more than three centimeters and a small foam pad separates them from the ear. If the headset is properly adjusted, then it sits on the head very easily, but securely. The sound of the headphones is acceptable, but no more. There is frankly little bass, and high-frequency sounds are reproduced indistinctly and strive to break into an unintelligible hiss. However, when talking on Skype, all these features do not interfere in any way. In games, the situation is more complicated, here the lack of bass is felt more acutely. The microphone is not bad, it has good sensitivity, but poor noise reduction. The volume is controlled from the remote control on the cable, there is also a microphone switch. The headset is focused on reproducing mid-frequency sounds corresponding to the range of the human voice, so listening to music in it is disappointing. The wire is too long, you have to collect it with a coupler. IMHO, the headset is overpriced. |
