Aside from the ambilight backlighting, nothing special; the image quality is mediocre, and so is the sound. The Android TV is proprietary and doesn't find apps in the Play Store that are available on smartphones, except for YouTube and paid channels like Netflix; there's nothing to watch. The menu has voice control, but the remote doesn't have a microphone, so I had to buy another one. It periodically glitches, shows movies in jerks, and sometimes won't turn on until it's rebooted from the socket, so I end up unplugging it every 3-4 days. Overall, Philips just isn't the same anymore. My model is (7906)50". Ambilight The quality doesn't match the price use Philips 50PUS7906 few months |
I bought this TV at the beginning of 2022 (thanks to my paws, I couldn't enjoy it fully). I chose for a long time, sifting through and examining the picture in stores. I was mostly focused on the "natural color" of the display, so all those Samsung OLEDs, cheap brands with twisted filters, etc., were immediately ruled out. Moreover, I added a movie filter, and the picture became perfect for me. (Bright colors hurt my eyes). Ambilight was a bonus, but I hardly use it. Only when watching Transformers and similar action movies. I'm sure for someone, such lighting will fit their interior, but it's not my option. For a bedroom of ~12 sq. m, a 70" TV is not too big as most people constantly say. The next one will be around 100-120 inches (in the same 12 sq. m).
