Model overview based on user reviews
The Patriot Memory Viper V380 headphones offer a mix of strengths and weaknesses. Users appreciate the sound quality, comfort, and build reliability, making them suitable for gaming and music. The headphones feature decent virtual 7.1 surround sound, although some users find the software challenging to navigate. The RGB lighting adds a stylish touch, but the microphone performance is a notable drawback, being described as quiet and unclear. Additionally, the noise cancellation feature seems to further muffle the microphone sound. Despite these issues, the headphones are considered a good choice for their price, especially for those prioritizing sound and comfort.
Pros

Cons

Great headphones, but bad mic
25 May 2022
Let's start with the bad. The microphone here leaves much to be desired; it's quiet and not very clear. (Previously, I had headphones of the same type from another brand, but cheaper by 40-45% and they were much better). The second downside is the software. It exists, which is good, but the 7.1 surround sound is terrible (I have something to compare it with), though it's perfectly manageable to live without it. The noise cancellation makes the already quiet microphone even quieter and makes the sound more muffled. (There's also one without the lighting switch, but that's not critical).

Now, let's talk about the good things, starting with the sound. It can be described in many ways, but here it's at a decent level. Listening to music, playing games, and communicating with people was all perfectly audible. They're very comfortable and pleasant despite the seemingly sharp shape. The quality is also quite excellent; nothing has happened to them in 6 months, considering I often take them with me on trips (roughly twice a week).

You can look for better ones, but these are a good choice.
20 January 2021
The headphones are good, high-quality, comfortable, and pleasant-sounding, they are my second pair. There is one downside (maybe it's just me), I had to spend a lot of time figuring out the software to set up 7.1.

Back to the Future

Patriot Viper V380 is a closed-type gaming headphone, or rather a stereo headset with a microphone. The outer bowls are made rectangular to highlight the futuristic design. The inner ear pads are made of eco-leather and have an anatomical oval shape. Neodymium Hi-Fi speakers with a diameter of 53 mm and a resistance of 64 Ohms are responsible for a wide frequency range of sound. The volume control and microphone mute button are located directly on the earcups.

brave heart

Connect to a desktop PC or Viper V380 laptop via a USB plug. This was done to power the built-in sound card in the headphones with support for virtual 7.1 surround sound. This is in demand both in shooter games, in order to clearly hear which side the enemy is coming from, and in horror films for a greater immersion effect. But without a Mini-Jack connector, you most likely will not be able to connect to a game console or smartphone.

Bright head

In addition, the LED RGB lighting of the Viper V380 bowls is powered via USB. To configure the color and flicker mode, as well as the full functioning of 7.1-channel audio, you must install the Viper Software driver. It also includes the active noise reduction function of the headset’s unidirectional microphone, which, by the way, is made flexible and easily removable.

No extraneous noise

The closed design of the Patriot Viper V380 bowls allows you not to hear extraneous external sounds, and the noise reduction of the microphone prevents your interlocutors from hearing the same sounds in a work chat or teammates in multiplayer games. The rigid steel headband ensures that the ear pads are pressed tightly against the head and generally increases the strength of the structure. If the presence of 7.1-channel sound and RGB backlighting is not important for you, then take a closer look at the more affordable and, most importantly, universal (PC, smartphone, console) stereo headset Patriot Viper V330.
