A high-performance and affordable SSD with a capacity of 512 GB, featuring an M.2 connector and PCI-E Gen3 x4 interface (NVMe v1.3). It has compact dimensions, compliant with the 2280 form factor standard. Compatible with all motherboards equipped with an M.2 port supporting 2/4-lane PCI-E Gen3. The manufacturer positions it as an available product in the mid-price category, intended for mid-range PCs, as well as budget-friendly workstations and gaming stations.
Capable of delivering a decent level of input/output performance (up to 260K/290K IOPS with a deep request queue), good read/write speeds (1700/1100 MB/s), and low access latencies. The Patriot P300 M.2 P300P512GM28 SSD ensures impressively fast loading of the operating system, browsers with a large number of cached tabs, resource-intensive professional applications, and current games.
Its hardware configuration is based on the 4-channel Silicon Motion SM2263XT controller. It does not have its own DRAM buffer, but thanks to Host Memory Buffer technology, it can use part of the system memory for these purposes. The controller works in conjunction with high-quality 64-layer TLC 3D NAND flash memory. Supports high-speed SLC write caching, with the size of the SLC buffer changing dynamically (up to 64 GB). The guaranteed write endurance (TBW) is 160 TB, which allows for writing up to 43 GB of data daily for 10 years.

Bought this 512G SSD at the beginning of 2023. Unfortunately, now I'm looking for a replacement. Yesterday, the computer refused to start, BIOS did not recognize the drive with the OS installed. The computer still starts (every other time). Luckily, I managed to back up the necessary files onto an external drive. After that, I did a cluster integrity check (attaching a photo). I'm looking for a replacement, but I'm very grateful that I was able to save the files. OS launch speed. It is surprising that damaged clusters have appeared. The SSD is used only as a system drive, without frequent rewrites of large volumes of files. Now I don't know if I should get an SSD for the operating system again?
