It uses a 3D brush head that cleans the tooth from all sides with a reciprocating, rotating and pulsating motion, removing plaque and debris between the teeth. Depending on the selected mode, the rotational speed reaches 10.5K / min, and the pulsation frequency — 48K / min. Moreover, if you press too hard, the brush will give a signal, turn off the pulsation and reduce the rotation speed so as not to damage the gums.

In addition, the device has an “Artificial Intelligence” function: using motion sensors, it analyzes how you brush your teeth and provides useful instructions and recommendations to help improve the result. This happens in the proprietary Oral-B App, which must be downloaded to synchronize the brush with a smartphone via Bluetooth. The app is available for iOS and Android. By the way, it also allows you to change the colour of the backlight of the SmartRing indicator ring.

Braun did not waste time on trifles and equipped the model with six operating modes at once. These are Daily Cleaning, Sensitive Teeth, Whitening, Professional Cleaning, Gum Care and Tongue Cleaning. The variety, of course, is good, but, as practice shows, after a while, many use one or more of their favorite modes. There is also a timer that controls the duration of brushing.

Charges more than just the brush

Surprisingly, such a “genius” also has weaknesses. More precisely, she is alone, and this is the battery. One charge is enough for 48 minutes or 12 days if you brush your teeth for 2 minutes in the morning and evening. For such a price tag, I would like not to think about charging so often, especially since it will take a lot of time to fully restore energy — as much as 12 hours. To do this, the kit comes with a compact charging stand and a charging case with a stylish design that can charge not only the brush, but also other gadgets thanks to the USB connector. Therefore, it will be an perfect companion for long trips and business trips.

By the way, you will also find a stand for four nozzles in the set, although the device is equipped with only one. Again, for such a price, I would like at least a couple of nozzles so as not to spend money on them so often.
