This model will be in use for a long time, there are more pros than cons

Even with all that has been said above, you can safely pick it up and use it. You’ll just have to keep an eye on charging more often. There’s no way around it... The device is decent and practical.
In principle, it’s good for everyone. I’ve had it for more than two years, it’s a sin to complain. Photos? Who needs what? I printed pictures, I’m not a gourmet, but the pictures are normal. The MP-3 player for headphones is absolutely beautiful. Especially when you’re sitting at the computer .I’m not going to change it yet, although the battery is sometimes depressing.
Battery. It seems that the Finns completely forgot about it when developing the model, leaving the basic model without bells and whistles. The second is the impossibility of purchasing a European or authentic Finnish assembly in the retail chain, only Chinese. Also a defect of the manufacturer. They are chasing cheapness, as a result - later they listen. But the brand is solid. It’s a pity. Well, even if it was 10 bucks more expensive, but the quality is...

High quality and functional
15 February 2010
I got my device about six months ago, also in Pretoria, by the way. Here's what I can say after this time.

The device turned out great, simply amazing. From design to functionality, but like everything, it has its drawbacks:
Regarding the battery, it's fair to say that for its size and energy consumption for backlighting and all other functions, including calls, it holds up well, provided you start it up properly. It lasts absolutely trouble-free for 3 hours in talk mode and with fairly frequent use throughout the day, aside from calls (player, ICQ, etc.)
- the display is gorgeous
- the camera produces good quality photos in normal lighting
- the mini USB is very convenient, it should have been done a long time ago, but under the given conditions, it's another plus for this phone
-A slightly inconvenient keyboard, but it's something you can get used to...
-The sound through the headset was disappointing, maybe just crappy headset included. Without it, there are no complaints, so I'm blaming it on the headset. I'm planning to try to pick a new one.
-I expected faster performance from the phone, but quite subjective, as for me it could be faster...

I have never seen a more ideal phone for a girl!!!

If you want to buy it, don't hesitate, you won't regret it. Let frogs and sliders hide...
I've been using it for about 2 years. It looks quite striking, doesn't appear cheap. The body is sturdy, it's fallen multiple times, operates without interruptions. If someone offered to trade it for a more expensive one, I wouldn't agree!!!
Weak battery.

Short description:
Like many Nokia models, this phone looks as simple as a good brick. And just as reliable. Indeed, the phone's consistently high ratings speak for themselves. Initially, Nokia 6300 was positioned as a functional phone for the middle class - it has an excellent TFT screen, a 2 megapixel camera, an MP3 player and many other useful things.
Specifications:
  • In appearance, the phone as a whole corresponds to the general design concept of Nokia - strict, regular forms with a bias towards a certain `squareness', which favorably distinguishes the 6300 from the futuristic design of modern gadgets. It is also important that the front panel and the battery cover are made of stainless steel. This not only increases the resistance of the phone to external influences, but also just looks good.
  • Naturally, the Nokia 6300 uses a 2-inch colour TFT display with a resolution of 240x320 (so-called QVGA). In bright sunlight, the screen fades somewhat, but such a disease is not a disease at all at the present stage of technological development. The display capabilities are enough to work in any conditions, in addition, it is capable of displaying 16+ million shades of colours.
  • The phone's memory is quite standard, 8 MB. This is clearly not enough to fully use an MP3 player, but this is not a problem - a couple of gigabytes of memory can be added by purchasing a good microSD card. It is also useful for storing photos, and software applications, etc.
  • Both voice dialing and voice control of phone functions are supported. Thus, you can negotiate for hours with different interlocutors without touching the phone and your finger.
Media:
  • The phone's MP3 player is practically flawless. The sound is rated by the owners for a solid `five-minus` (a full-fledged `five` can only be given by an exclusive tube for a couple of thousand euros).
  • For those who wish, there is an FM radio and a voice recorder. The sound quality is quite high (see MP3 player).
Camera:
  • Nokia 6300 is equipped with a 2 megapixel camera (1600x1200). For snapshots that just need to be taken immediately, this is quite enough. For other things - excellent cameras for 8-12 Mpx are sold.
  • In keeping with Nokia tradition, the phone supports quite reasonable digital ZOOM.
Internet:
  • There is everything for fans of GPRS. So far, 3G cannot be found in our area during the day, but GPRS works and works well. In addition, EDGE is supported - data transfer up to 100 Kbps is theoretically possible, but this depends primarily on the properties of the network.
  • In addition to the ability to connect to a PC, there is a WAP-browser and an e-mail client - a basic package for working on the Web.
Battery:
  • The Nokia 6300 uses a lithium-ion battery (760 mAh). Theoretically, its capacity is enough for 3.5 hours of talk time or 350 hours of standby time. Battery life is a very subjective matter and is evaluated differently by different users. One thing is clear - with proper use Nokia 6300 will last exactly until the moment when a new model appears that can attract your attention.
