The full-frame flagship of the league of mirrorless cameras is aimed at true photography pros. Not least thanks to a high-resolution 45.7 MP sensor (a similar sensor is installed “under the hood” of the Nikon D850 full-frame mirror). The matrix works out in the native ISO range from 64 to 25600 units, in addition, the mirrorless camera has a 5-axis matrix image stabilization system at its disposal.

The focus system on board the Nikon Z7 kit is hybrid. It consists of 493 points that cover almost the entire field of the frame. Due to the high resolution, the camera shows more modest results in sequential photography than the younger brother Nikon Z6 — 9 fps versus 12 fps. Sighting while shooting is offered by clinging to the window of the electronic viewfinder or using the 3.2-inch touch screen on a swivel hinge. The footage is saved to the XQD flash drive, which has only one slot for installation. The mirrorless battery is rated for 330 shots on a single charge.

The pinky slips through. Sometimes the camera has a mind of its own.

For that money, it's better to buy a Nikon 850, it will be more reliable.
Nothing special, except the weight.
hello, gentlemen!!! I've been using the Z7 for three months, and there's a problem!!!! Although maybe some haven't noticed it. Since purchasing the camera, the small information display showed black numbers on a light screen, and somehow it switched to a black background with white characters. All my attempts to search and switch back to the familiar background were in vain..... The second problem is the heating of the body behind the tilting screen to the point of "you could fry an egg," believe me, it's getting worse. I first noticed it when setting up the camera, only the left side was heating up. I thought it might be because of my hand, but no. I held it by the lens with my left hand without touching the body. No errors or self-shutdown occur, the camera works. Today, I tried to adjust it for tomorrow's shoot, and the camera was on for no more than 10-15 minutes. Poking at the touchscreen with my finger, I felt that even the screen was warm. Tilting it and touching the back wall, where the sensor is located, I was horrified. The temperature clearly exceeds acceptable limits, and the body was just hot, something I haven't encountered with any other camera, even with mirrorless ones like the Sony A series and Panasonic GH. Has anyone encountered such a problem, and how did you solve it, or is it unsolvable? Firmware updates didn't help, it's updated to version 22.0. I don't shoot videos and haven't shot any.

I won't buy

There were high expectations for this camera after reviews online, but when I held it in my hand, I realized that it's very unergonomic. It might fit better in a woman's hand and cause less discomfort, but if you're seriously considering buying it, make sure to hold the camera in your hand first and try taking a few photos. You might be disappointed with a "blind" online purchase.

High price, poor ergonomics

Conclusion: don’t buy cameras right away. Wait a year and take it.

Mirrorless cameras don't differ much; what advantages does Sony have over its competitors? If you consider the Riii and Riv, I don't think there's much difference, except for the megapixel count and stabilization in Canon. Other than that, it's up to personal preference. Some prefer Sony, some Canon, and others Nikon.
Price, wait a year and it will fall in price by at least half a thousand. Don’t rush to buy yet.
