Relatively affordable "reflex camera" with a full-frame matrix. Being released to replace the D600 model, it is rather its light modification than a full-fledged successor. So, the basis of the camera is the same 24.3 megapixel matrix and the Expeed 3 processor, it inherited a dust and moisture-proof housing, a 3.2 "display with 921K pixels, a couple of slots for memory cards, an abundance of scene programs and support for Wi-Fi adapters. At the same time, the modified shutter allowed the use of the “silent shooting” mode, and the speed of burst photography increased to 6 fps.The built-in battery is capable of providing up to 900 shots on a charge.

good model, liked it
25 January 2016
I shoot corporate and VIP events, and I needed a compact full-frame camera at a moderate price. The choice was essentially between the Canon EOS 6D and the Nikon D610. The Canon is lighter and has built-in WiFi and GPS, but it has a low continuous shooting speed in RAW, which is critical for me since missed moments can't be recovered. One of the Nikon's advantages is its built-in flash. In the end, I bought the D610.
The pictures are absolutely flawless, especially when compared to cameras with cropped sensors. The sensor is practically noise-free, only showing grain and a drop in detail at very high ISO levels. The modern sensor performs excellently in autofocus; the AF-C mode turned out to be indispensable, with predictive continuous focus really helping. The focus speed is sufficient for capturing moderate movement. I'm using the AF-S NIKKOR 24–85 mm f/3.5–4.5G ED VR lens. It's suitable for everything except long-distance shooting. The battery capacity can be considered adequate—not record-breaking, but I've never encountered a situation where it wasn't enough. The additional LCD display on the top right for status information is another plus. The dust and moisture-resistant camera body deserves special praise. It's comfortable to hold with a secure grip.
No swiveling screen.
The color in JPEG is somewhat cool for my taste, but who needs JPEG if you can easily shoot in RAW.
It took me a long time to get used to the camera controls, I can't say it's very convenient. I had to adapt, now there are no difficulties.
use Nikon D610 body month or more
Or did I get one?
2 March 2016
I use 2 years. I tried to photograph only in warm weather. When photographing in winter, I used a Canon EOS 600D which is already 4 years old.
I bought it for a full frame2 iso 1600 memory card with the correct exposure with almost no noise.
Dust on the matrix (a lot of dust) or a vacuum cleaner lens or itself. Most likely himself, tk. I tried to shoot with a 50 mm fix a little less dust than when using a whale 24-85mm.
As the first full-frame camera - ideal
4 August 2016
Excellent full-frame DSLR camera. It shoots very fast, 4-5 frames per second. It performs well in low light, noise is almost unnoticeable even at high ISO settings. Speed, simplicity, ease, interface, quality - all 5 out of 5 - this is all about the Nikon D610. This is my first full-frame camera from Nikon, and I am completely satisfied with it. The camera might only be disliked by those who don't know how to photograph at all. In reality, the camera can do everything necessary for high-quality shooting. There is an opinion that the sensor quickly gets dirty with dust and oil - after a month of use, I have not found this to be true.
Good white balance, fast autofocus, detailed picture, comfortable grip, light camera, convenient control, large selection of ISO, of course ff.
All focus points are in the center, which can be inconvenient after cameras with focus all over the frame.

Video reviews

The most affordable full frame from the entire line of Nikon cameras (if you do not take into account the old predecessor in the face of the Nikon D600) can offer decent quality for a sane price. In addition, you will get dust and water protection, as well as a choice of accessories for all occasions.

"Heart and Brain"

The camera has a high- quality matrix manufactured by Sony, which allows you to take pictures with a wide dynamic range. This allows you not to lose details with a strong difference in the levels of shadows and light. For example, when shooting in backlighting (against a light source). You don’t have to worry about the speed of reaction either — the “brains” of the camera are set up to shoot dynamic scenes, so you can safely take it with you to football or rallies.

Nuances

Only one "trouble" upsets — the inability to change the aperture value in LiveView mode, i.e. when looking at the screen. This disadvantage is inherent in a series of amateur DSLRs of the Japanese brand (Nikon D3300, Nikon D5300, etc.), but for some reason it surfaced in a more professional model. The screen, moreover, is non-touch and you will have to set the shooting parameters by pressing the keys. They were not spared and placed a sufficient number.

Noise is not our forte

In cases where the use of a flash is impossible or useless, good image quality at high ISOs will play into the hands. The noise level in a photograph taken in low light conditions will remain within the normal range up to ISO 6400-12800.

Availability

With the release of Nikon's 600 series of cameras, full-frame cameras have become more accessible to the general public. Sophisticated professionals may not have enough customizable controls, but for those who decide to get their first full-frame camera, this is an excellent solution that will help you understand all the intricacies of the system.

Reference. Fullframe (FF) — short for English. Full Frame, which means "full frame" in translation. The physical dimensions of the matrices of full-frame cameras are 24x36 mm. These figures correspond to the dimensions of a 35mm film frame, the most popular format in pre-digital times.

Additional features digital camera Nikon D610 body:
  • Support for WU-1b modules
  • Silent shooting mode
