Model overview based on user reviews
The Nexen Nblue HD tires offer a compelling price-quality ratio, with users praising their excellent handling, dynamics, and braking performance. They are described as soft, quiet, and comfortable, effectively absorbing road imperfections. However, some users express concerns about their softness and potential fragility, although they have proven durable under significant impacts. There are mixed reviews regarding their aquaplaning resistance and stability in ruts. A notable issue is the discrepancy in tire width, with some finding them narrower than expected, which may affect rolling resistance and fuel consumption. Additionally, noise levels are a concern for some, particularly between 70-100 km/h. Overall, while some users are highly satisfied, others caution against purchasing due to these issues.

Got Nexen NBlue HD 185/65 R14 in April 2013, 5 pieces (including a spare). The tires are awesom... amazing!!! Price-quality is just SUPER! They're soft, pumped the pressure to 2.2 everywhere, they look slightly under-inflated from the side, but they absorb bumps and joints wonderfully! They hold the road well, can take hits too (tested on the spring roads of Saratov and region!), even sideways against the curb! (of course at a normal speed no more than 50 km/h)! Noise on different surfaces varies, but is quite moderate, and on most, very quiet! Haven’t tried them in outright mud and heavy rain, otherwise: braking on dry and wet asphalt and dry soil, grass, gravel is 5+++. (I've been forgetting how the ABS works, they stop on a dime!); aquaplaning in small puddles at 120 km/h is good at 4+...5-; directional stability (tested up to 160 km/h) on smooth roads is good, but in ruts it might wobble a bit (depends on the rut and speed;-)). Lateral grip is like on rails! (on sharp turns everything flies around the cabin and trunk, but the trajectory doesn't deviate a millimeter!)! Very satisfied with the purchase! Recommend for any driving style and experience! I'm using them on regular stamped rims, on a Fiat Albea car. Wear - time will tell. In hard use for the second month. Still driving and loving it! Price-quality is beyond any competition! Excellent handling and dynamics! Braking is just super! Sticks to the road like it's glued! Soft, generally quiet and very comfortable (absorbs joints and not too big bumps and potholes wonderfully!)! As practice has shown, they are quite durable, which you wouldn't say based on appearance (looks are deceiving in a good way;-))! In principle, no, but it bothers me that they are very soft, seem very delicate and fragile even though they have already withstood a decent amount of very serious impacts without a single flaw! It is unknown how they will behave in strong heat. Unfortunately, the tires are mainly for highways, and sometimes I have to drive in harsh mud (haven't tried it on this one yet)! Stability, especially in ruts, could be better, although I might be nitpicking! I haven't tested aquaplaning resistance in heavy rain and very large puddles, but in medium puddles and regular rain, the opinion is mixed, but generally good, tested at different speeds (from 80 to 120 km/h), sometimes it seems like it floats a little, but overall predictable and manageable, a solid 4+ or 5-. Wear resistance is also quite questionable, time will tell. |
Everyone will decide for themselves whether to buy such tires or not. One thing is for sure, the wear on these tires is very high. The contact patch is smaller, meaning the pressure at the point of contact with the asphalt is higher. Looks and feels well-made. Soft. Very strange design feature - the tire width is much less than stated. I bought in size 215/60/16, brought it home, compared it to my old Dunlop, and was very surprised - the tire width is almost 2 cm less than the Dunlop, meaning it's even narrower than 205! Decided not to take the risk - took it back to the store. just bought Nexen Nblue HD |
Bought NEXEN 225/60 R17 Nblue HD, makes noise from day one, but with the onset of heat, it almost clogs the ears especially in the 70-100 km/h range. Before buying, I had a maintenance check and did wheel balancing twice. can't name Rustles very strongly. use Nexen Nblue HD month or more i recommend it don't buy |
