The single-person tent of the MSR brand belongs to the advanced solutions of the market. It is intended for use from spring to autumn (inclusive), suitable for hikers and cycling trips into nature (the weight is just over 2 kg, and the dimensions in the case are 48x15x15 cm, which means approximately 11 liters of volume). One of the main features of the model is the aluminium frame: it includes two main arches that form the berth and a third element that defines the space in the vestibule.
The latter here has a length of 76 cm, which is enough for a large backpack, and for various outerwear, and for additional equipment. The MSR Elixir 1 tent has a low overall height (about a meter), which mainly improves wind resistance. A tourist will find a bedroom with floor dimensions of 218x84 cm, which is slightly larger than a standard place to relax. For high-quality ventilation, a ventilation system with two windows is provided under the ceiling.
The outer canopy is made of polyester with a base water resistance of up to 1500 mm, and the bottom is made of nylon with a water column rating of up to 3000 mm. Accordingly, without additional protection from water, it is best to operate the model in dry weather or only with light precipitation. Other equipment features include a mosquito net and a mesh inner pocket for small items.
