Warm
The mummy sleeping bag from Mountain Hardwear is designed as an expedition solution for climbers, participants of challenging mountain ascents, and long hikes in harsh weather conditions. The model is equipped with a waterproof nylon shell under which there is high-density natural down (800 fill) with RDS certification. Thanks to this insulation, as well as its design features - an anatomical hood, insulated collar, and protective flap along the zipper - the sleeping bag ensures a comfortable sleep at temperatures from -11 to -18 degrees Celsius.
Lightweight and Compact
Despite its high thermal insulation properties, the Mountain Hardwear Phantom 0F/-18C Reg remains lightweight—its weight is about 1.2 kg. The model is intended for hikers up to 182 cm in height and offers standard width in the shoulder area with increased space for the feet. In its folded state, the sleeping bag measures 42x21x21 cm (approximately 18.5 liters in volume), and when using the included compression sack, the volume reduces to 9.7 liters, making it convenient for backpack transportation.
Practical
The model is available with right and left-sided zippers, which allows two sleeping bags to be zipped together into one large sleeping space. Among other advantages are a comfortable nylon lining with durable Ripstop weaving, reliable hardware, an additional storage bag, and reflective elements on the zipper puller for convenience in the dark.
The main drawback of the sleeping bag is its high cost, even compared to other down models. However, in the case of the Mountain Hardwear Phantom 0F/-18C Reg, this is justified by the excellent balance between outstanding thermal insulation, compactness, and light weight.
