Model overview based on user reviews
The Michelin X-Ice North 3 tires are praised for their excellent performance on snow and ice, providing superb grip and handling. Many users appreciate their reliable braking and road holding, even comparing them favorably to summer tires. The tires are noted for their comfort on asphalt, despite being studded, with some users highlighting their reduced noise levels compared to other studded models. However, there are concerns about the loss of studs over time, with some users experiencing significant stud loss after a few seasons. Despite this, the tires are generally considered durable, with good wear resistance and no rust issues reported. While the price is on the higher side, many users feel the performance justifies the cost. Overall, the Michelin X-Ice North 3 is recommended for its excellent winter performance, though potential buyers should be aware of the stud retention issues.

good model, I liked it

I don't recommend studded tires for a warm, snowless winter and city driving. Would I buy again? Yes, but only without studs.
The studs hold firmly. I drove over 2000 km on dry asphalt, the average speed was over 100 km/h, with a maximum of 140 km/h. Not a single stud fell out. The tire is elastic, soft. I’m on my second season with them.
At high speeds, instability is noticed in turns, the tires "float". This disappears when the speed is reduced. It makes a considerable amount of noise, like all studded tires, especially on bare asphalt. It increases fuel consumption.

good model, liked it

If it weren't for the problem with the spikes, I would definitely recommend buying it. But maybe I was just unlucky. I read reviews online, and people say that everything is fine for them, at most one or two have fallen out.
In the snow, it behaves simply superbly, grips just right! It also performs well on asphalt. I never thought a tire could influence the driving quality of a car so much. Although it makes sense. The braking distance has decreased, and the car starts moving better. It's quite quiet compared to other studded models. Possibly because it has fewer studs. A friend has Nokian Hakkapeliitta 5, which makes much more noise. If you drive on packed snow, you can hardly hear anything.
Loses studs easily. A quarter is definitely lost in one season. To be honest, for such money, they could hold up better. Let's see what happens this time. If it’s the same, I'll have to re-shoe.

great model, love it

I really liked the tires. In my opinion, their main advantage is the easy handling. The car holds the road perfectly, brakes effortlessly, and navigates turns just right. Honestly, I hardly noticed a difference from summer tires. After all, the brand means a lot. Another big plus is the performance on ice. Before, I mostly used non-studded tires. Now I regret not buying Michelin X-Ice North 3 earlier.
I don’t see any drawbacks. I really like the rubber.
