Model overview based on user reviews
The Makita HR2811FT rotary hammer is a versatile tool ideal for construction and renovation tasks. It offers three operating modes: hammer drilling, drilling only, and chiselling, making it suitable for drilling holes in concrete, brick, and stone, as well as demolition work. Despite its moderate power consumption of 800 W and impact energy of 2.9 J, it effectively handles various tasks. The tool is equipped with an anti-vibration system, safety clutch, and LED light, enhancing user comfort and safety. Users appreciate its power, noting it easily drills through concrete, and its ergonomic design, which reduces fatigue during prolonged use. However, some find the additional handle's position adjustment inconvenient and express concerns about the build quality of the case. Overall, the Makita HR2811FT is praised for its performance and is considered an excellent choice for home repairs and general construction work.
Pros
Cons
An excellent hammer drill. I don’t know if it’s suitable for professional use somewhere on a construction site, but for home use it’s just right. I do repairs and I can’t do without such a device. I took it on a friend’s tip, for which I am very grateful to him! Power! No problems with any concrete. So far I have not been able to find anything that would be too tough for this hammer drill. I don’t drill, I just hold it and set the direction, the hammer drill does the rest. It’s very comfortable to hold in your hands, although it’s quite heavy and you can’t use it with one hand. However, your hands do not get tired during long-term work. The power cord is long and strong. The presence of the backlight made me laugh at first, but as it turned out, it was very convenient. Changing the position of the additional handle is inconvenient. In addition, it has only a few fixed positions. However, this does not affect the quality or convenience of work. But what I really didn't like was the build quality of the case. I don’t know how it really is, but sometimes it seems to me that it is about to fall apart on the road. I’m glad that I don’t have to carry a hammer drill with me a lot and often; it almost always lies in the trunk. But I can’t help but note that the dimensions of the case are quite impressive; in addition to the tool itself, you can put in a bunch of other things. |
