The picture quality is fine on channels with a resolution of Full HD or 4K, but where it's 576i or similar, it's blurry and not sharp. The sound is good. + Air mouse. + When Bluetooth headphones are connected, the speakers automatically turn off (you just need to confirm this with the remote). Navigation through the channel list is convenient. + Satellite channels scan easily and quickly. + Central stand - You can't rename satellite channels, even with the ChanSort program (when loading renamed channels, the channel names display as gibberish). - The pointer on the remote is slow and responds very sluggishly. - You can't access the HDD from the computer to copy or delete files on the disk. - There are plenty of apps in the smart system, but what's the point if almost all of them are paid? - There are no USB 3.0 ports. - Channels switch slowly, and navigating from one menu page to another also has significant delays. - You can't delete unnecessary transponders (only add or change parameters). - The EPG for channels is only graphical, which is usually not very convenient, and there is no list format. |
+ IPS matrix, image quality, fast smart, thin frames, fast processor. - as they say everywhere, this is the Edge backlight. If a small light object appears on a black background in a dark room or if you move the cursor on a black background, a pillar of illumination will be visible. |
chose from Gnusmas, Skis and Sonya. I chose Ski because of hdma 2.1, 120 hertz and web OS. I took for the console, YouTube, movies from the hard drive. I don’t watch TV (and I don’t advise you :)), sometimes football. price, official, normally pulls content via Wi-Fi, 4K i bought the 4th TV, the first 3 had dead pixels, in LG it's not a warranty case up to 6 dead pixels. The central leg (stand) is very flimsy, it's preferable to choose a model with two legs spaced at the edges of the panel. At first, video was playing fine from HDD via USB, but after several system updates, one hard drive started "disconnecting" (I had to swap the connection plugs) and then the second one started disconnecting, it sees the files but doesn't play them, regardless of whether they are large or small. In the end, absolutely all video files started playing with delays and stutters, both in dynamic scenes and calm ones. I should mention that I also updated several theaters and TV services (Netflix, etc.) I called the service center, explained the issue, they promised to connect me with a technician, and voila, a person who will tell me something specific, something that will solve my problem... After describing the situation with the TV to him, the most he could offer was: "reset the TV to factory settings", or take it to the service center (it's easier for me to return it to the store, 14 days haven't passed yet). I reset it, it worked fine, and when asked about future updates, he told me that nobody knows how the TV will react to them and I update it at my own risk. Currently: YouTube works, movies play fine from HDD, that's all the panel's functionality. |
Performant and smart
The representative of the 2020 NanoCell series belongs to the mid-range solutions in the LG lineup. At its heart is the α 7 Gen 3 processor, which is responsible for both processing 4K video and improving the quality of lower-definition images (for example, when watching cable).
The LG 55NANO86 runs on webOS 5.0, which is rightfully considered one of the best smart shells today. For comfortable operation, a Magic Remote with a microphone is proposed for voice control and interaction with Google or Amazon voice assistants. Also, the TV is able to become the central link in the smart home ecosystem, offers flexible interaction with mobile devices (for example, through AirPlay 2 technology).
For sports lovers
The factory calibration of the 55-inch LG 55NANO86 screen deserves only flattering words, so even without custom settings, the colour reproduction pleases with accuracy and naturalness. Thanks to the IPS-matrix, the image almost does not lose its brightness and richness of colours when viewed from an angle: this will not be superfluous, for example, when watching sports broadcasts by a large group of friends. Fans will also enjoy the smooth video sequence, because the frame rate reaches 120 Hz, and programmatically (True Motion function) it increases to 200 fps.
For games
The last feature is also useful for gamers. In addition, the TV is equipped with an HDMI 2.1 port, and when consoles are connected, it automatically switches to game mode, which is characterized by low input lag values. It is important that there is FreeSync technology. When paired with AMD graphics cards, it allows you to count on increasing the smoothness of the video sequence and reducing jerks in dynamic scenes.
Other chips
The audio system consists of two speakers of 10 W each, and the Dolby Atmos decoder is responsible for the surround sound effect.
The set of supported HDR formats includes not only HDR10 and HLG Pro, but also Dolby Vision. Contrast levels are slightly higher than low-cost solutions like the LG 55UN7100, partly due to Local Dimming. But still, it will not allow you to get the maximum pleasure from watching a movie in a darkened room.
In its price segment LG 55NANO86 looks like a very competitive model. To the greatest extent, the TV is suitable for watching sports broadcasts or TV shows, as well as gaming use.

Yes, there is a problem with the backlighting; it is not Direct but Edge. However, it has a slim body. The design gets a 4 compared to Samsung's 9 series.
