Warmth on cold days
The catalytic hand warmer will become an indispensable "heater" for the fisherman on especially cold days. Purified gasoline is poured inside the heating pad (as in a lighter), which evaporates under the action of a catalyst and releases heat. To start the “work” of the heater, you need to hold the catalyst over the fire of a lighter or match for 5 seconds. Such heat is safe for humans, as it is released without fire, burning and soot. Also, the device will not burn your hands, as it warms up to a maximum of 60 degrees.
Gasoline dosage
The capacity of the burner is 12 mL, which, according to the manufacturer, is enough for 12 hours of continuous operation. However, users note that after ten hours of use, the temperature of the heating pad is significantly reduced, which is why you have to add gasoline. The Kovea VKH-PW5M comes with a special transparent "watering can" with measured divisions, so you can conveniently measure 6 or 12 mL of gasoline.
Light heating pad
The heating pad is slightly smaller than a mobile phone in size, and very light in weight (only 80 grams), so it can be easily carried in a trouser or jacket pocket. It must be filled immediately before use, as gasoline evaporates through small holes in the housing. Because of this, a bottle of gasoline must be carried with you at all times. In the kit, the manufacturer supplies a fleece cover for the heating pad. It simultaneously protects the heating pad from scratches during transportation, and also, as far as possible, a person's pocket from the smell of gasoline (since the vapors evaporate anyway).
