Bought for fishing + child. I have two binoculars, one for 10x and one for 15x. Of course, looking through binoculars is a completely different story, but here it is 40x, and at the same time, the image quality at maximum magnification is quite acceptable. There is a small vignette along the edges (7-10 percent of the edge loses its brightness by half). The kit included a case and a mini tripod, but to be honest, I don’t see any sense from the latter. I bought the cheapest large photo tripod, screwed a tube on it and am happy as an elephant. The zoom ring is smooth but has a very short travel. It would be better if the adjustment was carried out not by half a turn, but by a full turn. It's just that the change happens abruptly, which is not always necessary. Regarding water protection, I don’t have any information, because there was no desire to stand and look into the chimney in the rain. But I appreciated the plastic, because a child, along with a tripod, dropped the pipe on the tile (we went up the hill to watch the city), and it did not crack, and the focus did not go astray. Scratched, but all intact. The eyecup is functional, with two positions. This is also a plus. Happy with the pipe, worth the money. Now we want to buy at 70x or more, but I'm not sure that the image quality will remain the same. Optimal image quality at maximum magnification. Not perfect, but very good for the price. In 40x mode, you can see a person's face at a distance of 150-200 m. Good for birdwatching on a sunny day. On a cloudy day, not very good aperture. Visible, but not so clear.
