Gasoline / gas. Automatic voltage regulator (AVR). Output 12 V.
When running on gas, the generator power is reduced by 10%

Gasoline generator with a rated power of 2.6 kW. Gasoline (from a 15-liter tank) or liquefied gas (from a propane tank) can be used as fuel. The accessories required to connect the unit to the gas bottle are included in the kit. When running on gasoline, the Konner&Sohnen KS 3000G consumes approximately 1 liter of fuel per hour (in half power mode) and can operate continuously without refueling for 15 hours. Due to the presence of an automatic regulator (AVR), voltage fluctuations in the network do not exceed ± 5% of the nominal 230 V. Two sockets with 16 A circuit breakers and a low-voltage DC output (12 V) are used to distribute electricity to consumers.

I am satisfied with the purchase, it is worth the money.
28 March 2024
We bought a generator in the fall, thinking there might be another blackout. But since we live in a private sector, we occasionally experience power outages due to the maintenance or replacement of substations, so our generator doesn't sit idle. We wanted to get an inverter generator, but the prices were high at that time, so we opted for this one. As a result, it turns out to be more cost-effective for us because it runs on gas, and its continuous operation for 15 hours is more than enough for a private house. The assembly is high quality, the frame is robust, and there's a hose with a reducer included for gas connection. However, if you want to connect to the gas main, you'll have to remove the reducer and connect with a standard gas hose through a coupling. The generator runs steadily, surprisingly quietly, starts with one pull, doesn't fluctuate in RPM, and doesn't drop voltage under increased load. It consumes about 1 cubic meter per hour at up to 50% load. Thanks to the synchronous alternator, the turbocharged gas boiler works without any errors. It's convenient that there's a counter for both current operation time since startup and total operation time. It's easy to monitor when to change the oil. But when it comes to oil changes – it's just awful. The plug is in a very inconvenient place, making it very difficult to pour and drain oil. But this is a common problem with all generators.

Hybrid option for zealous owners
31 July 2017
Hybrid generators running on gas and gasoline are a very trendy topic. Yes, working with gasoline is much easier and, suddenly, safer than with gas. The thing is that gasoline is flammable and forms explosive mixtures of vapors with air only in a certain, narrow range. Liquefied gas, in addition to explosion and fire hazard, is also stored under pressure. But if you deprive him of this pressure, he instantly evaporates and the probability that the gas-air mixture will explode is very decent. Actually, you have seen all this more than once on TV screens, when another apartment exploded or a tragedy occurred at the mine. But, despite such a potential danger, gas is much more profitable than gasoline in terms of cost. Therefore, if you take a generator not only for occasional backup, but also for work, then hybrid generators are worth a closer look. I liked this scheme so much that I bought this model and I am quite satisfied with it.
A good, German-style carefully made car. Everything is convenient because it is well thought out. There is a normal luminous indicator of voltage and frequency, and not faded black and white nonsense. Starts great, only had to tinker a little with the first launch. The declared nominal value gives out regularly, but it still heats up, so for long-term work I was guided by 2 kW. Very economical on gas. For comparison, on gasoline, one kWh costs about 12-12.5 hryvnias, and on gas, no more than 7 hryvnias! Moreover, when working from a cylinder, his exhaust smells almost nothing and there is noticeably less noise.
On gasoline - gluttonous. At a load of 3/4 of the maximum, it consumes more than a liter of gasoline per hour, approximately 1.1-1.2 liters. So spinning it on gasoline is a dubious pleasure. The warranty for such an expensive device could be longer.

Dual fuel generator for work or domestic purposes

The KS 210 engine with a volume of 208 cm³, installed on a 2.6-kilowatt Konner&Sohnen KS 3000G generator, has the unique ability to run on both gasoline and gas. Gas refers to a liquefied mixture of propane and butane, available in the form of automobile (PBA) or household (SPBT) fuel. The generator is equipped with all the necessary equipment for working on gas, including a reduction gear, a hose and a zero pressure regulator. This allows you to start using the generator almost immediately after unpacking, even without refilling the 15-liter gas tank. Konner&Sohnen dual fuel generators can start on gas even if the gas tank is completely empty. When using gasoline at half the rated power, the engine consumes about 1 liter of fuel per hour, providing 15 hours of continuous operation. When running on gas, the engine runs smoother and quieter, more economical (although power is reduced by 10% due to the lower calorific value of the propane-butane mixture compared to gasoline), and the exhaust has less odor, which allows the generator to be installed closer to buildings, which is important for small areas.

Good choice on a budget

The Konner&Sohnen KS 3000G generator is equipped with two sockets for connecting household appliances or power tools. The automatic voltage regulator (AVR) maintains the voltage in the sockets at 230 V with a deviation of no more than ±5% of the nominal value. The current current parameters are displayed on the display, which also shows the generator operating hours, which is useful for scheduled maintenance. In addition to the outlets, there are 12V output terminals on the front panel that can be used to charge car batteries or power DC-powered devices.

The Conner&Sohnen KS 3000G is one of the most affordable dual-fuel generators on the market. If you need a more powerful power plant, this manufacturer also offers generators with power ratings ranging from 4 kW to 7.5 kW.
