How to choose the right SSD?Choosing an SSD with the required speed and good reliability for home, work and gaming
Model overview based on user reviews
The Kingston KC2500 SSD is highly praised for its excellent speed and low operating temperatures, making it an ideal choice for both laptops and desktops. Users appreciate the 5-year warranty and the inclusion of an Acronis key for easy OS transfer. It performs well in stress tests, maintaining temperatures around 45 degrees, and is noted for its reliable performance even without a heatsink. While some users mention that there are faster options available at a similar price, the KC2500 is still considered a great value for its price, especially for those using PCIe 3.0 systems. The SSD is available in various capacities, with the 2TB version being highlighted for its price/performance ratio. Overall, the Kingston KC2500 is a solid choice for anyone looking for a dependable and fast SSD.

No complaints, the temperature in reading mode is like in a room. I haven't seen temperatures above 45 degrees (during a stress test). Buying for the Lenovo Legion 5 laptop, I was worried about excessively high temperatures - that's why I chose this model. At the same time, for the same price, there's now the Samsung 980 Pro with PCI-E 4.0 4x, which is twice as fast and its temperature is only about ten degrees higher (35-40 - reading; 45-50 - writing). ![]() |
Wonderful ssd. I took a year ago in the socket for a promotion of 1500 for the 500GB version. For a year of work in a laptop as the main disk - 7tb of overwriting from a 300tb resource. I don’t know the maximum speeds, since in a PCIe 3.0 x2 laptop, and the speed is cut accordingly, but even the cut speed is sufficient for work and games 5 year warranty, theoretically excellent read/write speed, Acronis dongle for OS transfer from disk to disk No pizza included :( ![]() |
Works quickly, encrypted with BitLocker to avoid repeating the history with Petya A. It maintains speed, has cache. I use it as the main system disk. The temperature was surprising, 48 degrees under average load. Speed, temperature All good ![]() |
