Model overview based on user reviews
The HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2000 is praised for its stylish design and solid performance, particularly with the Ryzen 5 processor and RTX 3050 graphics card. Users appreciate its good price-quality ratio, with features like a 144Hz screen and responsive keyboard. The laptop handles games like Doom Eternal smoothly, and temperatures remain manageable during gaming sessions. However, some users note that the cooling system can be noisy and the sound output is relatively quiet. The laptop's expandability is somewhat limited due to its design, but it remains a reliable choice for both gaming and work tasks. Overall, it offers a balanced solution for those seeking a powerful yet affordable gaming laptop.

i liked it! Buying such a laptop during a full-scale war is top!

I didn't think that during the war started by the rashist mongrel-federation, I could buy such a cool laptop at such a reasonable price (around 30,000 UAH, but the price dropped to 26,500). I've been using it for a little over 1 month. After my clunky old laptop, this is just amazing! I have an RTX 3050, Ryzen 5 5600H, 16 GB of RAM.
temperatures during games stayed around 75 degrees (Celsius).
I installed Windows myself, there were no problems.
Keyboard: quiet, great responsiveness.

An excellent balanced solution for work or home.

A good workhorse for everyday use if you need something more powerful than a typewriter. I got the 5600n/8/512/3050 (50W) model, then added a 2TB hard drive and 16GB of RAM with a single stick. Inside, it's made without obvious electronics flaws, but also without enhanced cooling (just two paired pipes, but with fins on the memory and MOSFETs, chokes). For comfortable use, I locked the CPU max at 2.2GHz and matched the curve in MSI Afterburner to a 1400 MHz core and -500 MHz memory (approximately at 30-40W GPD). In this configuration, it doesn't switch to the highest cooling mode and doesn't overheat above 60 degrees under simultaneous load (hotspot up to 70), with only CPU or GPU load, no need to bother as cooling is sufficient, just disable the boost (fortunately, the base frequency is already decent at 3.3 GHz).

I chose this series over the Victus (better cooling, larger screen, but much worse color reproduction), Asus seems to have overheating issues with the vrm video chip according to recent revisions, and I don't trust Lenovo/Acer much for non-office laptops, so I opted for this model.

P.S. I wouldn't recommend configs above 5600N/11400 in conjunction with 3050/1650 in this chassis as the cooling is clearly insufficient and with real load, there will be no benefit; it will all go into throttling and excessive heat.
The price-quality ratio, the matrix really pleasantly surprised me in terms of color reproduction, the sound that is really audible (previously there was a vivobook), you can put a 2.5 disk in your pocket instead of a plug.
Two 4 GB sticks, but they run in dual after replacing one with a 16 GB;
HP Software: I couldn't find how to make the battery charge to 60-80%, AMD Master doesn't work with 5600H (wanted to turn off turbo boost and SMP), there's no touchpad disable option (can only be turned off via software or when a second mouse is connected). The issues are not critical and can possibly be fixed with BIOS updates, but they still exist and it's an HP...

Gun race. Got it for 70, configuration - 5600, 3050ti, 8GB, 512SSD (at that time, it was unreal to get anything but 1650 for 70, 3060 started at 85-90)
1. Case. Don't trust the photos provided in all online stores - it's way more beautiful. Strict, green, and black. Everyone says it gets dirty easily - but it hasn't been noticed yet.
2. Screen. After using 72, and especially 60 - 144 looks smooth and wonderful. The truth is that you physiologically get used to good things, and the wow effect fades over time, but better is the enemy of good.
3. Hardware. Doom Eternal in FHD - 110-144 fps, 2016 is slightly faster. I haven't experienced such pleasure since the times when I moved from an office laptop where I played Dark Souls 3 at 5-15 fps to a desktop with a 980ti. Loads quickly, installs quickly.
4. Size. It's truly small, identical to any office setup, but with such components!
5. Num keys. Say what you will, but whether in games or work, it's a useful relic of the past, and it's present here. Also, yes, the keyboard comes with Cyrillic, no stickers.
None of them are even remotely critical, but each is worth attention because some affect upgrade possibilities.
1. The coolers on the RTX obviously work like fighter jet nozzles. Really, what were you expecting?
2. It's quiet. I've heard about B&O a long time ago, no complaints about sound quality—but it's really very quiet even at full volume. Maybe it's some drivers, but I can't even think of what else can be installed here.
3. This is more of a +- thing. The assembly and layout method itself. The cover under which the internals aren't too friendly to those who want to add something there and it completely and reluctantly comes off, you might scratch the edges, although I've personally seen versions where the RAM and disk were hidden behind separate covers with a couple of screws. The battery is under the cover with screws and a ribbon cable, goodbye quick-release versions.
4. RAM - two 4GB sticks. No complaints about the memory itself - maximum 3200, timing at 22. But one of the 4GB had to be removed for an upgrade. They could have installed one 8GB instead.
