Office printers differ from "small office" and home printers by having increased cartridge capacity, larger trays, and enhanced connectivity options. Our office is small, but our printing volumes are quite "substantial." That's why I chose this model, which meets all the aforementioned requirements and also has a fantastically high print speed. Let's start with what amazed me: the printing speed. Officially, it's 43 pages per minute, but I couldn't believe it could achieve that with standard quality settings. And I was right. Timing the printing of a 125-page document showed a speed of 41.5 pages per minute, meaning each page comes out in less than a second and a half after the previous one. This is truly amazing, no exaggeration! For such a high-performance device, this model is quite compact; I remember similar devices from fifteen years ago, and they were about 2-2.2 times larger. It can print on any paper, except toilet paper, haha. Seriously, it handles everything from cheap office paper (70 g/m²) to expensive cardboard (220 g/m²) just fine. Printing quality is 10 out of 10, there's nothing to criticize. It can print on both sides of the paper, though the print speed is reduced in that case. It has a huge cassette tray for paper loading, which is very useful given its performance. The ridiculous cost of cartridges is a signature move by the stingy folks at HP. True, the cartridge here is serious, yielding 9000 pages, but the price of $240 can be quite daunting. And as a classic example of stinginess, I'd say is the absence of a USB cable for connection in the standard package. |
