I work in the editorial and publishing department of one of the most famous Ukrainian universities, and in September of this year, we finally bought new office equipment. A very anticipated update, because what we have been working on so far has been more like old firewood than modern technology. Allows you to quickly print both monochrome documents and color graphics. The quality of monochrome printing does not raise questions. It prints well in color, but it still loses to mid-range inkjet printers in photo printing. However, it would be strange to demand photorealistic work with color from an entry-level color laser machine. Regardless of the color, the print speed is 18 ppm, which may not be a record, but it is noticeably faster than what we had before. In addition, there is automatic duplex printing, and since we often work with booklets, this thing is mega-useful. The scanner is low-cost, but it has an auto-feed mechanism, and copying with it has become much easier. Connects as a network device or to a PC via USB. There is the possibility of a WiFi connection, but we have never tried it yet. The scanner does not work on the basis of CIS technology, that is, its depth of field is so small that you can ignore it. This moment is probably the only one in which this MFP is much inferior to the old Canon, which had an inexpensive, but CCD scanner. However, on documents that can be pressed tightly against the glass, there is still no particular difference, problems arise only with spreads. I also want to criticize HP for selling printers with low-capacity cartridges. If for color cartridges 1300 pages is still acceptable, you don’t need to print in color every day, then 1400 pages for a b / w cartridge is too little, we sometimes choose this one in 3-4 days. A full-fledged black cartridge for 2800 pages costs more than 3000 UAH. Maybe it will be possible to purchase one at the end of the year, otherwise it is impossible to work normally with a small capacity. |
If you do not feel sorry for the money for new cartridges, then I advise Print fast and high quality refueling is impossible, you need to buy new ones |
