Bought in 2011, still using it. Office work, programming. At that time, all new laptops had screens with a resolution of 1368x720, and my old one was even higher by two lines in Excel/Word/programming (1280x800). It was one of the few that wasn't on display (because the price was $1000), but it had a screen with pixel size like a 13", but with physical dimensions of 15.6" and a resolution of 1600x900. Everything else had only advantages: convenient keyboard with classic button layout, proper additional keyboard, fingerprint scanner, 4 USB ports with good placement (could connect several wide flash drives side by side), presence of a COM port (a few years later, thanks to it, I inadvertently "recouped" half the cost of the laptop). Notable features include the built-in GSM modem and antennas: much more convenient, no need to carry extra hardware, connect it, doesn't occupy a USB port! Reliable, everything holds strongly. I transport it daily to work and back, using public transport, and during vacations (since work was related to 24/7/365 service). Over time, I upgraded the memory a few times, HDD, inserted an SSD instead of a DVD. By the way, at that time, it was up-to-date - DVD with LightScribe (labels on discs). Pure power and reliability. What Steve Jobs valued in HP. Screen resolution is 1600x900 on 15.6"; availability of all ports, built-in GSM modem; fingerprint scanner for password entry, convenient USB placement; comfortable keyboard; possibility to connect a docking station, metal base in the chassis. none  Andriy: use HP ProBook 6550B more than year |
