A stylish and powerful high-capacity power bank with a digital display, 6 outputs — 4x USB-A and 2x USB-C, an LED light function, support for popular fast-charging technologies Quick Charge 3, PPS, USB Power Delivery 3, Huawei FCP/SCP, Samsung AFC, and a practical plastic body design. Notable for its high output power of up to 65 W, which can be delivered from either USB-C port.
Positioned as a mid-range product for 2025, intended for home and on-the-go use. Can be used to charge laptops via USB-C, smartphones, tablets, and a wide range of compatible devices, including Bluetooth headphones, headsets and speakers, smartwatches, LED flashlights, action cameras, e-readers, portable gaming consoles, GPS navigators, etc. Thanks to the large number of outputs, it can serve multiple devices at once.
The Hoco DB81 Apollo power bank can become a convenient energy source during blackouts, on the road and in camping/field conditions, i.e., in situations where using wall chargers is impossible. During prolonged power outages, it can power a low-voltage LED lighting system and keep home networking equipment running, such as a Wi‑Fi router. The power bank’s body is made of durable fire-retardant ABS+PC plastic, resistant to mechanical stress and overheating.

I have a model with 30000mAh. I bought it specifically for power outages, using it to light up the room. The main criteria for choosing were large capacity and fast charging of the power bank itself, here it's 45W. I use it with a 5V LED strip (5 meters). I connect it to the USB A 5V3A port, and in this mode, it uses 5% per hour. I managed to buy it for 57 EUR. In my opinion, a very successful purchase. Large capacity for an adequate price, fast charging of the power bank itself. Until I know. |
The battery is suitable for charging phones, tablets, and notebooks; however, it should not be used during charging, as notebooks typically consume more than 65 watts, and any program load will simply stop the power supplied by the power bank. Charging takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes, and you will need to purchase a special type-c to type-c charger and cable. Make sure that both the cable and the power adapter support 67 watts, otherwise the charging will take 13-14 hours. The actual capacity is 44,000 milliamp hours. The charger gets very hot during fast charging, as does the power bank case during charging. I've been testing this power bank for almost a month and it was initially uncalibrated, requiring four full discharge and recharge cycles. Battery capacity is 44 thousand out of the declared 50, design, charging speed is 3 hours and 35 minutes when charging at 67 watts. Long charging time with the standard 33-watt charger, takes over 13 hours. The power bank heats up during fast charging, as does the charger itself. Not suitable for working with a laptop, only charges when the laptop is turned off. Not calibrated. The flashlight is very dim and useless. |

Also, sometimes it lags when I connect it to the laptop, taking a while to choose the charging protocol, but eventually, it does charge. You’ll still need a 65 W charger, plus a cable that charges quickly. But in general, it's handy - I connect it to the laptop and it uses about 10% an hour, which lasts for a workday.
Charges really fast with a GaN charger, and I checked with a USB tester, it delivers and receives all stated powers. A decent choice for a budget power bank for a laptop. Yes, it weighs a kilo like a brick, it would be more convenient if they’d included a strap for carrying.
