Detailed FAQ on storage water heatersWe answer the most common questions regarding the installation and operation of storage water heaters
Model overview based on user reviews
The Hi-Therm Long Life DRY boiler has received mixed reviews from users. While some appreciate its European build quality and the effective glass-ceramic coating that protects against temperature-induced cracking, many users report significant issues. Common complaints include slow heating times, with some models taking up to six hours to reach the desired temperature, and frequent breakdowns of heating elements. Users have also noted that the boiler can be noisy and that the materials, such as plastic water pipes, feel flimsy. Several reviewers experienced increased electricity consumption and were dissatisfied with the overall performance, advising potential buyers to consider other options. Despite its affordable price, the product's reliability and efficiency have been questioned, leading to a general recommendation against purchasing this model.

High-quality storage water heater from Bulgaria, meaning a genuine European product. Inside, it has a classic steel tank that holds 50 liters of water. It's made from good cold-rolled sheet steel and protected by a special glass-ceramic coating. This coating is similar to enamel but is resistant to cracking from temperature changes, which can occur when you release hot water and it's replaced by icy winter water from the pipes. A 50-liter capacity is just right for my wife and me to take a shower. And don't say it's not enough—if you just want to wash up, it's certainly sufficient since mixing 50 liters of water at 55 degrees noticeably increases the volume. The thermostat is set to that temperature to reduce heat loss through the layer of insulation. It's fully present here, but for optimal electricity usage, the manufacturer recommends limiting the temperature to 50-55 degrees. The heating is adjustable, two-stage (2x800 Watts), with the stage switch at the bottom, near the thermostat dial. At full power (1.6 kW), the tank heats up to 55 degrees in about 90-100 minutes. If the tank is cold, then it takes a long time to wait for the heat of the water, but there's nothing to be done, because all storage boilers work. The heating element is dry here and there should not be scale on it, but after four months there was a sound that happens with heating elements with a layer of scale (( |
Easy to connect and use It heats very slowly, not a convenient thermometer, the heater stopped heating after 4 times of use. I do not recommend. |
