Model overview based on user reviews
The Hatsan Striker Edge is a spring-piston air rifle known for its affordable price and powerful performance. However, users have noted several issues with its build quality. The rifle's barrel is prone to rust, and the barrel coupling bolt often requires immediate replacement. Additionally, the plastic stock has been reported to break easily, and the assembly quality of the piston group parts is subpar. Despite its power, which can be both an advantage and a drawback, the rifle has a short lifespan for its parts, with frequent breakdowns even with careful use. It is recommended for use in pairs, from a rest, and outside populated areas due to its penetrating power. Overall, while it offers strong performance for its price, potential buyers should be aware of its durability issues.
Pros
Cons
For such a price now there is nothing more than murka and you can’t take it... I bought it in July (on a coupling 01 17g) - for half a year in conservation the barrel was subjected to some serious rust price, a lot (if you fix the coupling play by replacing the bolt) The barrel coupling bolt needs to be replaced immediately! The barrel is rusting use Hatsan Striker Edge less than month |
Purchased with a defect - it was impossible to notice at the time of purchase, build quality is mediocre. Used for 2 years and during this time it only left negative impressions from use; with each trip outdoors, there was some breakdown. First day of use - washer of the axle bolt broke (counter bolt is too long); second outing - after a few shots, front mounts broke (no lock will hold the bolts from loosening); third outing - stock handle broke; fourth outing - lock jam (broken bolt and sleeve) and this is with a total of less than 100 shots. If shooting as a pair, where one shoots and the other loads, it's a great "power" weapon that with special bullets penetrates everything, but due to the tight spring, after the 5th shot, everyone refuses to shoot again, as their hands hurt not only from cocking but also from holding during aiming. Recommended for paired use, from a rest, and only outside populated areas. Why outside populated areas? The bullet pierces the target, grazes the ground with a whistle, and keeps flying. Power, price - and that's it. Poor quality of assembly and fitting of piston group parts, the plastic stock broke in the first week of use. "Power" is both a plus and a minus, as it leads to a long list of breakdowns. Even with "very" careful use, it has a "tiny" lifespan of parts. use Hatsan Striker Edge more than year |
