Model overview based on user reviews
The Hankook Winter I*Pike RS2 W429 tires are highly praised for their excellent handling on snow and dry asphalt, providing a safe and predictable driving experience. Users appreciate the optimal price-quality ratio, comparing them favorably to more expensive brands like ContiVikingContact. While some note that the tires can be noisy, especially above 5 degrees Celsius, the noise is generally not considered a major issue. The tires are described as soft yet sturdy, with a strong sidewall that handles potholes well. They offer good braking capabilities and maintain control in slushy snow, although some users experienced challenges in deep snowdrifts. Overall, the tires are recommended for their value for money, with users expressing satisfaction and confidence in their performance on winter roads.

The rubber is good, I buy it all the time. When it was Korean, I used it for 5 seasons. The rubber was hard and had a 5% loss of studs. The Koreans did a great job. But now with studs, it's just a pain. Two seasons, and there are no studs left. Controllability. The spikes don’t fly out, they just break in half. ![]() |
Tried Hankook for the first time and I'm very pleased - the price and quality are optimal. Car is a Honda Accord Coupe. Right now, the Khmelnytskyi-Vinnytsia highway is completely ruined. I hit such a pothole that I thought I tore all the tires. BUT it was just an impression! They weren't even damaged. I'm very satisfied. Even though I have the regular ones, not the XL. I once used ContiVikingContact - very expensive tires. So Hankook reminded me of them and considering the price difference, they performed almost on the same level. Surprised! Definitely recommend. Handling on snow and dry asphalt is rated 5 Good braking and predictable If the temperature is above 5 degrees Celsius, the car starts to sway sharply. As soon as it approaches zero and below, it changes drastically for the better. use Hankook Winter I*Pike RS2 W429 month or more |
I took R17 studded tires; on any road, you feel confident in your car, compared to last year's Bridgestone, it’s like night and day (though they were without studs). handling and safety noisy ![]() |
