Model overview based on user reviews
The Hankook Winter I*Pike RS W419 tires receive mixed reviews from users. Many appreciate their affordable price, quiet performance, and excellent grip on snow and ice. Users note that the tires are soft and wear-resistant, with studs remaining intact after significant use. However, some users report issues with soft sidewalls, leading to instability at higher speeds and on dry asphalt. A few reviews mention poor braking performance in wet conditions and on ice, with ABS frequently activating. While some users find them reliable for city driving, others express regret, preferring other brands like Fulda or Continental for better road handling. Overall, the tires are seen as a good value for their price, but may not suit all driving conditions or preferences.

good model, liked it

I never really doubted that I would like these tires. Firstly, I've heard about the brand for a long time, and only good things. Secondly, the price of the tires is such that they just cannot be of poor quality. It would be illogical. I'm used to paying good money for good things, and I like that they serve me accordingly. I only drove about 8000 km on the tires last winter, but that's enough to form an impression. So, the tires are soft and quiet. After the first season, they proved to be very wear-resistant, all the studs are still in place. They perform excellently on ice and handle snow slush well. There was a situation where I had to brake on pure ice, and it also went without any issues. Thanks to these tires, the car now easily drives through places where it used to get stuck for sure.
On dry asphalt at temperatures above zero and at speeds over 90 km/h, there is a feeling as if the car is floating. However, this is typical for most studded tires.

Soft, quiet, and importantly, very affordable tires. I bought them last November and only took them off in April. Managed to drive quite a bit on them - about 11,000 km. Traveled across the whole country, meaning on both good roads and some really terrible ones. Encountered ice, snowdrifts, and got caught in the rain. The tires performed excellently. The grip on the road is superb. The car handles easily and responds accurately to the steering wheel. Moreover, not a single stud was lost during all this time. In short, a fantastic option for the money. Buy with confidence.
Didn't notice any drawbacks.

the comment above is completely unclear. Why do you take tires designed for studs and then not install them, and later write such nonsense that the tires are useless? Tires intended for studs should not be used without studs. It all makes sense here. The tires are excellent, I got exactly what I expected.
It can be confidently stated that the price of these tires is excellent, which is a very important factor at the moment; this was the primary criterion for me, and I didn't want to choose Chinese tires. I went for studded tires because I don't feel completely confident with regular winter tires on the road. As for noise, on all comparison and test websites it's noted as a downside, and I agree, it's noisy, especially with studs, but not so noisy that it should be seen as a negative factor. Especially since they are studded, for those who've never had studded tires before, it might seem like "WOW... this is terrible," but again, it all depends on the studs, on how much they protrude, 1-2 mm makes a big difference. In terms of handling, there are absolutely no questions since studs perform incredibly well, so no complaints there at all. As for wear, I can't objectively say, 5% over the winter with a mileage of 3000 km is not significant. Regarding studded tires, I should also mention, the depth of the rim for the stud is 6 mm, so when you're choosing studs, consider their size. If you don't want to lose half of the studs after just 10 km, go for a maximum of 8 mm studs; they will [censored] and won't come off. I'm not saying you won't lose any studs at all, but you won't lose as many.
Regarding negativity, I'll just plainly list again what they provide, and that's it... no one will learn anything new. First, there's noise, especially on dry asphalt, then again dry asphalt and braking on it, the car will feel like on ice without studs, so you need to always be ready. Another downside for me is the increased softness; for studded tires, I believe they shouldn't be like this because a hard tread plus studs offer good road grip.
