Model overview based on user reviews
The Grundfos UPS 25-40-180 circulation pump is highly regarded for its quiet operation and compact design, making it suitable for various installation locations. Users appreciate its energy efficiency, with consumption comparable to a light bulb, and its ability to maintain stable pressure in heating systems. The pump is praised for its reliability, with some units operating for over five years without issues. Although it is more expensive than some domestic models, its high build quality and efficient performance justify the cost. The absence of a power cable in the package is noted as a minor inconvenience. Overall, it is a durable and effective solution for maintaining consistent heating in homes.

Good model...
15 June 2020
We have two pumps in operation, they have worked for 16 seasons, but they are genuine, there were no Chinese ones back then. After the 15th season, one seized up a bit :-)

About five years ago, I bought another one, but it turned out to be Chinese, still working for now :-)

good model, liked it
23 December 2014
The pump was installed a few months ago. I can immediately say that the main goal - saving at least partial gas - is being achieved, I won’t say that we saved a lot, but still some amount, albeit a small one. They delivered it to us quickly, there were no problems. I immediately felt that the rooms, which were previously poorly heated, now became much better. It works almost silently, sometimes there is a small sound, like normal from a battery, but it doesn’t interfere. The pump itself is small, can be installed almost anywhere, it does not interfere. So I see virtually no downsides, it works fine, and consumes almost no electricity. In the cold season, we realized that we could turn the gas on almost to minimum and the house would still warm up normally.
I have no special complaints, the pump is normal.

A simple and trouble-free option for heating systems
30 January 2016
I purchased this pump after installing a pyrolysis boiler in order to pump water in the system and accelerate the heating of rooms. The price, of course, is not at all small for such a simple and small mechanism, but I didn’t want to freeze in winter due to a failed pump, so I took Grundfos. Heating installers recommended it as the best option from a Danish manufacturer and all that. Bought, installed, served all winter without complaints. I hung the start on the switch so as not to constantly pull the plug from the outlet and, in principle, I am satisfied with everything. The device itself works quietly, maybe the small power of the electric motor affects, or maybe just the bearings are good. What is really useful in it is three rotation speeds, due to the characteristics of the boiler, it happens that the temperature given off by it drops and while the coolant flares up in the house, it already starts to get colder a little. By turning on the maximum speed, I achieve rapid circulation of water in the system and, as a result, its more efficient heat transfer to the radiators. What else gives out in it a solid, wisely made technique is that it does not need stuffing box seals, which means that it will not be necessary to change them due to loss of tightness over time.
- a reputable brand recommended by specialists, which is quite important for me;
- three speeds of water circulation;
- simple mounting without gaskets and seals;
- quiet operation, barely audible even when standing nearby;
- terminal blocks for connection with the power cable are already provided in the terminal box;
- compact dimensions;
- energy consumption no more than that of a light bulb.
- noticeably more expensive than similar domestic models;
- no power cable included.
