This is, of course, not a fully-fledged PCI-E 4.0 level drive. It has a standard, affordable E16 controller, with all its drawbacks. The claimed speeds will be maintained only as long as the disk is filling in 1-bit mode. It's a great option for games, to use the technologies claimed for PCI-E 4.0 from AMD, but not much more than that. The model is not very suitable for transferring large volumes back and forth. If using more than 80-85% of the disk's capacity, it's better to look at other options, such as those from WD or Samsung, although they are considerably more expensive.
