![]() | Outdated Product The case is designed for a performant computer system. 4 fans (3 at the front and 1 at the rear) provide excellent airflow to internal components, preventing overheating and premature component failure. The Gamemax StarLight system unit supports the ability to install motherboards of the following sizes: ATX and micro-ATX. The left side of the case is presented with a transparent acrylic insert, which offers an excellent view of the hardware inside the PC. The cooling fans are backlit. The top surface houses the keypad and interfaces. The list of connectors includes: USB 3.0 (1 port), USB 2.0 (2 ports) and several mini-Jacks (for audio and microphone). Good, well-ventilated case, quiet fans included. I bought it for myself because I liked the price and the inclusion of 4 fans... The presence of pre-installed turntables, a separate casing for the PSU and HDD, the ability to quickly disassemble and remove components, cable management, the ability to install large tower coolers, there is room for larger graphics cards, a lot of space for installing LSS Plastic side and front cover (charged with static and attracts dust and hair, especially if there are animals), the presence of a mount for outdated drives (which you can’t put if you don’t remove the front cover, it’s not needed there at all, I removed it altogether) ![]() |
the body is frankly ha#but the coolers are noisy, I am the pelesos the wiring is frankly not giving in singing that it is not closed, the installation of hot disks (requires the hands of the designer) thin metal for such pennies you can take a much better case without coolers and for retail take normal quiet coolers looking at 6 out of 10 cable management, flimsy case, not easily installed hard disks, price, noise, plastic door on the yak ![]() |
So, what conclusions can be drawn? My conclusion is that it's very difficult to give a clear and definite assessment of this wonder. It has significant downsides and equally significant downsides. Unfortunately, there isn't a perfect option, especially not one that's cheap. Therefore, if you're drawn to this model and you're prepared to tidy up inside at least once every three months, deal with the stock fan wiring, front panel, and rheobus (the slider on the panel that regulates fan speeds, by the way, I couldn't connect it to the motherboard, probably due to the motherboard itself), and you are confident that you can protect the delicate plastic panels from scratches, are not too bothered by noise from the stock fans (when playing at night without headphones, they're quite noisy, but at least they don't creak or rustle, so thank goodness for that), and the bright lighting, which I was attracted to, then this is an excellent option. A few words about the lighting. I'll repeat, this is the first PC I've assembled, and during this process, I learned all the nuances of this area, trying to approach it with responsibility. But when I had already chosen the configuration and it was time to choose the case, I decided that I wanted the PC to look prettier, which meant the case should have a window and shine like a Christmas tree. This case provided me with that. But at times, when playing at night without lights, I feel like taking wire cutters and cutting the lighting wiring. It's quite bright, be prepared for that (mine is blue, maybe green, white, or red is less straining on the eyes). Looks really cool. There's a heck of a lot of space inside. Fully transparent side panel. Sufficient number of ports on the front panel. 4 included fans. Nice price. Very high potential for maximum air circulation upgrade. There's enough room for water cooling, even for quite a large one. 1) This is a vacuum cleaner. Really, I am not exaggerating. This case lacks any built-in dust protection, except for a small mesh for large debris on the top and bottom for the PSU, and because of this, you will often have to get inside, vacuum, and brush off the dust. Thankfully, the transparent side panel is easy to remove. 2) About the side panel. The transparent one. It's freaking plastic. Just like the front side. On the very first day, I managed to dent and scratch it all over. It collects dust, pet hair, and all those tiny scratches that are quite disappointing. Since this was the first computer I built entirely by myself and didn't really understand much about them before, I naively thought that the side panel would be glass when I ordered this case. 3) Another significant downside is the power button, or more specifically, its placement. Since the case is on the floor under the desk and I don't have short legs, the button is exactly at knee level. In the six months of using this case, there have been quite a few instances where, in the heat of a gaming battle, I happily observed the "Shutting down" message on the monitor. Needless to say, everyone around heard my opinion about the situation, peppered with a variety of unprintable expressions. use Gamemax StarLight Light-B month or more i recommend it should buy |
Starship Milano
The StarLight case from Gamemax is designed to attract attention. Its front transparent wall opens up a view of 3 massive illuminated coolers, which, when turned on, resemble either a starship engine or the eyes of a hypnotoad from the Futurama animated series. If you are looking for a catchy flashy design, then finding something more provocative for the money will be extremely difficult.
When to Get Attention
StarLight is made of 0.5 mm metal, standard for this class. One of the walls is glass, which opens up a view of the inside of the PC. On the front part, a place of honor was taken by large and quiet backlit fans, which set the tone for the entire appearance of the case. The backlight, though not RGB, but looks impressive. It's only inconvenient that it doesn't turn off. On the top cover there is a navigation panel, which, in addition to the standard power buttons, USB ports and headphone outputs, is equipped with a cooler rotation speed control. Most of the top panel is occupied by a large grill with a dust filter to remove excess heat from the case.
Layout of elements
The case belongs to the universal Midi Tower form factor, which allows the installation of ATX, Micro-ATX and mini-ITX motherboards. Inside, all ventilation units are protected by dust filters. The maximum height of the processor is 170mm. The maximum length of the graphics card is at the level of 360 mm. That is, virtually any popular model will fit. There are 4 standard drive bays and the ability to install water cooling. The power supply is installed from below. In general, the internal structure is quite ordinary, but well thought out, assembling a computer here is as easy as shelling pears. A slight inconvenience is caused only by the proximity of the power supply compartment and one of the HDD pockets. First you need to fasten the hard drive, and only then put the power supply, otherwise you won’t get close to the first one.
