Model overview based on user reviews
The Gaggia Evolution espresso coffee maker has received mixed reviews from users. While some appreciate its ability to produce a classic Italian espresso with good foam, others have highlighted several drawbacks. Many users are disappointed with the long heating time of 6 minutes, and the need for specific attachments to achieve a decent crema and foam. The absence of a cup warmer and the machine's tendency to splatter coffee are also noted as issues. Additionally, the machine is described as being made of plastic, which some users feel contributes to a flimsy and unreliable build. Several users have expressed regret over their purchase, citing that the coffee often comes out lukewarm and lacks flavor. Despite these criticisms, a few users have found satisfaction in its performance when using the right accessories and grind. Overall, the Gaggia Evolution seems to cater to those who enjoy the process of making coffee, but it may not meet the expectations of those seeking convenience and consistent quality.

The price is highly inflated, it's unclear what you're paying $200 for. I often travel to Europe, where you can get a semi-professional one for $500 that will even grind the coffee itself and will have quality. Here, everything is made of plastic, complete nonsense in my opinion... I don't recommend buying simple coffee makers at all... it's money thrown to the wind. gave it as a gift to my wife last year, kind of read reviews on other sites, compared everything, by the metrics it was the best for the money, the design is not bad... in reality, the coffee maker is complete garbage. The only plus is that it has a steam feature for making foam, you can foam milk for yourself in 1 minute. Nothing else damn good. The first thing missing, which is mentioned in all descriptions, is the cup warmer. What the heck cup warmer? There is a water collection reservoir below, a perforated grate on top and that's it... No warmers at all. Then [censored] it takes 6 minutes to heat up, and every time before starting, you need to run some water through with the start button... Why? Okay, it heated up... I loaded the coffee, tamped it down. By the way, one scoop for one cup is not enough. Made the coffee, which is almost without any crema and not tasty. The strength and taste are somewhat acceptable when I choose the attachment designed for 2 cups and make only one. Another problem is that when the coffee starts flowing, it splatters everywhere, but I found a solution by inserting a small foam piece inside, then it just flows. By the way, every 2 months, it needs cleaning... it's simple, but you need a cross-head screwdriver with a short handle to unscrew the central bolt, and you need a set of hex keys. After cleaning, it didn't work and didn't pull water; it only started pulling water after 5 minutes of the milk frother working... In short, it's nonsense, not a coffee maker. Plus, when it's making coffee, it screams like crazy; making coffee quietly in the morning isn't going to happen. |
i’ve been using it every day for more than 3 years, it turns out wonderful classic Italian espresso, I descale it, I try to use soft, purified water, my country of origin is Romania excellent model until I saw |
I want to leave a review for those who are struggling with this coffee maker. The coffee maker itself is not bad and makes good espresso. But there is one drawback - you can only get good espresso by using a filter with a central hole and a frothing nozzle, and you also need to find the right grind. PS. The last negative review was also mine - before using the frothing nozzle (it wasn't available for sale). the espresso comes out with good foam and whipped Works well only with a special improver - a strainer and a nozzle for creating foam. |
