Model overview based on user reviews
The G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 2x16Gb RAM offers a mix of performance and affordability, making it a popular choice among users. One user noted that the memory did not support its own XMP profile and had issues with overclocking beyond 3200 MHz, with games crashing, possibly due to the use of chips from Nanya Technology. Another user found the RAM reliable after setting up XMP once, using it for a year without issues, although they did not attempt overclocking. A third user praised the RAM for its speed and price, successfully running it at 3600 MHz with an AMD Ryzen 3900 and AORUS B550I Pro AX combo, although they found the radiators slightly high and the XMP profile options limited. Overall, the G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 2x16Gb is appreciated for its excellent performance at a competitive price, though some users may encounter limitations with XMP profiles and overclocking.

The memory is excellent! No problems fitting the AMD Ryzen 3900 and AORUS B550I Pro AX combo. It started up at 3600 MHz with timings of 16-18-18-38 without any hassle. Didn't try to push it further; the speed is already very high, no point in doing so. Speed Price No backlighting Very strange that only one profile is recorded in the XMP... They could have added a couple for the most popular frequencies, not just for the nominal. The radiators are a bit too high. |
Fast delivery, excellent service, pleasant communication with store employees. Started right out of the box, the memory matches the stated specifications. Didn't find any. |
That's horrible. It does not hold its own XMP. Overclocking more than 3200 at 17 timings is not possible. The chip manufacturer is some Nanya Technology. Games are crashing no oak memory, does not support its own XMP, unknown chip manufacturer. |
