Model overview based on user reviews
The Fulda Kristall Montero 3 tires are highly praised for their excellent performance in wet snow, slush, and on dry asphalt, making them a reliable choice for winter conditions. Users appreciate their durability, with many noting minimal tread wear even after several seasons. The tires offer good traction and stability, especially in snowy conditions, and are described as soft and quiet, providing a comfortable ride. However, some users find them slightly noisy on asphalt and express concerns about their performance on ice, where they can be slippery. Despite this, the overall consensus is positive, with many recommending them for their affordable price and quality performance. The tires are noted for their longevity and ability to handle various weather conditions, although some caution is advised on icy roads. Overall, the Fulda Kristall Montero 3 is considered a great value for money, offering reliable performance in winter driving scenarios.

I've had Kristall Montero 2 (175/70 R14) since 2009 and they're still on steel rims - I don't drive much, about 5 thousand each winter (November-April/May) and for this winter 2020/21, I'll be getting new ones as they've worn down to the wear indicator. But over all these years I can't say anything bad (although I have nothing to compare them to - I bought them when I got a new car): I've never gotten stuck, never went into a ditch, never crashed into anyone. I'm confident that the Montero 3 will be at least as good :) Long-playing not available for me |
They walk well in snow and porridge. Climbed out of the snowdrifts without problems. And good on asphalt. And not expensive. Slightly noisy on asphalt |
The tires are just awesome, practically indestructible. After a season (5,000 miles), the tread remains untouched, and the rear ones are almost new. There are so many grooves, you won't get stuck in the slush! I've driven on asphalt, snow, and slush. They're amazing in slush; everyone else is going 30-40, and I'm like a madman pushing 80, and they grip perfectly!!! I've noticed they still look new, so they will surely last another 5 seasons for sure! When it comes to ice, well, obviously, just lower the speed and take corners carefully, and everything will be great! Everyone should get them and not worry! performs well, even excellently, in wet snow, slush, frost, dry asphalt; this tire can handle it all, even conquering small mountains of snow without any issues. for me, it's a bit hard, it could have been made softer. |
