How to choose a thermosTypes, volume, materials and other criteria for choosing a thermos
I highly recommend it
21 January 2020
Very convenient to 'steam' cereals like buckwheat and bulgur (250g of grain + 0.5l of boiling water). Pour in, add water, a bit of salt, wait 1-2 hours - done! Enough for 2-3 people. I've tried many thermoses, but this is the kind where you know you're getting quality just by holding it! It's a bit pricey, but the numerous advantages, reliability, and ease of use make up for the money spent.
Good materials, powder-coated lower part of the case (won't scratch much), although small (slightly larger than a teaspoon), it's convenient (unlike the threefold Thermos), stainless steel spoon, stainless steel cup with double walls and bottom, with a volume of 300 ml. And the teardrop valve is cleverly made in silicone (not a silicone gasket like in simple models). Temperature from boiling water after 6 hours - 74°C!
Absence of a case, even a basic flannel one, to prevent wear and tear... A bit heavy - 650g. High price. (Although all thermoses in the expensive segment: Esbit, Stanley, Klean Kanteen, production - Made in China???)
