Model overview based on user reviews
The ELF Evolution Full-Tech FE 5W-30 engine oil is highly regarded for its ability to reduce fuel consumption and ensure quiet engine operation. Users have noted that it performs well under high temperatures, making it suitable for urban driving and long distances. It is particularly ideal for turbocharged engines and is officially recommended by Renault, which adds to its credibility. While the price is a consideration, the quality and performance of the oil are generally seen as justifying the cost. Some users have observed that it may be less viscous compared to other brands like Castrol, but overall, it maintains engine performance effectively over time.
Pros
Cons
I decided to buy ELF, because it is officially recommended by Renault, I have a Renault Megane 3. Also, before buying, I monitored reviews about it on forums and stores and decided to try it. Before that, I poured Castrol in various guises and it proved itself fine, but the price was higher. So, bought this ELF, there were no problems with originality. They filled me up to the maximum level at the service station, after driving 8-10 km and waiting an hour or a half, they added a little more. After that, there was no need for top-up oil. According to the sound of the engine and its actual operation, it seemed to work a little quieter at idle, but maybe it seems to me. The level remained unchanged for about six months, approximately 3 thousand. km, until the frosts came and then the level dropped somewhere by 2-3 mm. I noticed that I have this every season with the onset of cold weather, so there is nothing strange. Good quality for a reasonable price. Haven't noticed yet, but there is a suspicion that it is less viscous than Castrol under the same mileage conditions and, accordingly, will perform its functions worse. Need to monitor further. |
I have used ELF Evolution Full-Tech FE 5W-30 engine oil in my car for several changes, and my impressions are only positive. The oil really reduces fuel consumption, which has a noticeable effect on costs. After changing the oil, I felt that the engine was running much quieter, and its response to starting and driving improved. This oil also copes well with high temperatures, which is important if you often drive in urban heat or over long distances. Reduced fuel consumption Quiet engine operation and less noise Works well at high temperatures Ideal for turbocharged engines Price |
