I used an Electrolux 180-liter water heater for about 10 years. I mainly turned it on during the summer. In winter, I tried to drain the water, but I didn't always do it. I don't remember the model, but the exterior looked like this one. There were no problems, except for some inconvenience during draining. The tank was enameled. When I bought it, I noticed that the warranty was only 1 year. The sellers told me that the anode needed to be replaced often. I never replaced it. Periodically, once every one or two years after draining the water, I would unscrew the nuts, remove the bottom cover, wipe the tank inside as far as I could reach with my hand, and check the condition of the enamel and the anode. There was some rusty substance on the seams. After wiping, I saw a few "spiders" in the seams (using a flashlight). The anode was visibly corroded, but not very deeply. Since there was still a lot of magnesium left in the anode (after 10 years, at least half remained), I concluded that mandatory anode replacement was unnecessary. At least, for our water (St. Petersburg). The heating elements seemed to be covered with glass. Apparently, these are called dry. They still look like new. I would have continued using the device, but after renovations in the bathroom, the water heater no longer fit my space requirements. I gave it to my daughter. Now I'm looking for another one, around 100 liters, which is why I joined this discussion. Apparently, I will get the best one regardless of the price. I don't know how good the modern models are, but that one was definitely good. See comment See comment ![]() |
be careful with the adapters that come with the kit. They are plastic. One burst during installation. I bought it and installed it, so far so good. Be sure to install an additional drain valve. The valve that comes with the water drain kit is tin. not yet. ![]() |
....... worked for more than 6 years without repair and only recently asked for repair... the tank is good in all respects! not significant... ![]() |
