Which heater to choose: pros and cons, comparison of different typesChoosing the type of heater, comparing the strengths and weaknesses of the options offered today
Model overview based on user reviews
The Electrolux Air Gate 2 ECH/AG2-1000 EF 1 kW convector heater is a stylish and modern appliance designed for efficient heating. It features electronic controls, a thermostat, and a timer, making it convenient to use. The heater is equipped with safety features such as overheat protection, waterproofing, and a child lock. Users appreciate its quick heating capabilities and the option to switch to economy mode for energy savings. However, some users have noted that the temperature indicator can be inaccurate, often showing a higher temperature than the actual room temperature. Additionally, the air filter, while marketed as a feature, covers only a small portion of the air intake and may require frequent cleaning. Despite these issues, the heater is praised for its design and functionality, although some users wish for a more affordable price. Overall, it is a high-quality convector with advanced electronic controls, suitable for small to medium-sized rooms.

Design, electronic control.
It crackles when heating, the back panel "pops" due to the absence of springs between the front and back panel, the temperature indicator "lies" by 3-8 degrees off the room temperature, overheats at full power and turns off before heating the room, emitting an annoying beep. Even the manual states that the temperature should be set several degrees higher than desired. The air filter is purely marketing: it doesn't cover even a quarter of the air intake. After a few months, they need to be replaced, but can't be purchased anywhere. The indicator is overly bright - like a nightlight at night.

High-quality electronically controlled convector with antistatic filter
24 October 2016
This electric convector could well be a model of a modern household appliance. Beautiful, stylish, powerful and with advanced electronic controls - what more could you ask for? Is it a more democratic price))
Instantly gains the necessary power and quickly warms the air. The old oil cooler only warmed itself for about ten minutes. One and a half kilowatts of heat is enough for an 11 meter room. To save energy, you can turn on the economy mode or, as it is called, the reduced power mode. At the same time, the heat output, as well as energy consumption, decreases exactly twice, to 750 watts. It has all the necessary protective systems, so that it can be left unattended ... at least for a short time )) Unusually, this model has an antistatic dust filter, which really collects a lot of dust. It is desirable to clean it more often. Comes with an official 3-year manufacturer's warranty.
The temperature indicator on the liquid crystal display overestimates the temperature by 2-3 degrees. That is, if the screen shows that it's 25 Celsius in the room, the calibrated certified mercury thermometer indicates the temperature is only plus 22. When operating at maximum power, the difference between the indicator and the actual temperature can even reach 5-6 degrees. IMHO, that's too much to be called "just a minor error." It's clear that the temperature sensor is additionally heated by the heating elements, but it could have been considered and the electronic reading compensation could have been properly adjusted. Like all heaters, it dries the air.
