Model overview based on user reviews
The EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro is a highly regarded portable power station known for its fast charging capability, taking only an hour to fully charge. It offers versatility with multiple ports, including AC/DC, USB, and Type-C, all conveniently located on the front. The station supports solar panel connectivity, making it ideal for field conditions. Users appreciate its high-quality build and the convenience of a smartphone app for configuration via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The LiFePO4 battery enhances its lifespan, and despite its compact size, it efficiently powers various devices like laptops, modems, and small appliances. While the battery capacity could be larger, and it lacks a wireless charging pad and built-in flashlight, these are minor drawbacks. The station is competitively priced, especially when compared to other brands, and its cooling fan operates quietly. Overall, the EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro is a reliable choice for household and outdoor power needs, though it may not be suitable for high-consumption devices like gaming PCs.

The charging station is more than sufficient for household needs when the station is charged to 100% and the consumers (Refrigerator - 148 W/h, LED TV 24" - 15-20 W/h, wi-fi router + ONU - 8 W/h) have a total load capacity of 171 W/h. Accordingly, the nominal capacity of the station is 768 W/h divided by 171 W per hour, giving continuous operation in such a tandem for 4.5 hours. During rolling blackouts of 3 hours, this is quite sufficient. I connected a microwave oven at half power 380W - the microwave works unstably, heats for 10 seconds then cracks for 10 seconds probably not heating, barely heated a glass of water in 2 minutes, I think it would take 5-7 minutes to heat a plate of food. For me, the biggest advantage compared to other charging stations, for example, a competitor in the price segment, is the fast charging of the Ecoflow station itself - 70 minutes, Bluetti EB70 - 240 minutes. The choice is yours, peaceful skies! + Fast charging station + AC/DC, USB, and type-c ports are sufficient for connecting gadgets + Ports are located on the front + Informative display + There is an app for configuring the charging station that works via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth + New type of LeFePO4 battery extends the life of the charging station + Compact size + Charging station cooling fan operates no louder than a refrigerator + Competitive price compared to other lesser-known manufacturers - Battery capacity (would like more, but the price is a bit steep) - No wireless charging pad (not critical) - No built-in flashlight (an external one can be connected) use EcoFlow RIVER 2 Pro week i recommend it should buy |
This is the second year it has been helping out during power outages. It's so noisy, I have two, and both are loud, but over time, the fan on one started making such an annoying sound that it's hard to stay in the same room, you can even hear it from the neighboring room. For now, I have to put up with it, as being without the station for 3 weeks while it's in service is not an option. It could use a sound signal when it's about to run out of battery and shut down, and you can't turn it off while connected to the mains until you unplug the cable. |
A really great thing during outages, compared to the set I used before - AGM battery + inverter + charger, this is like night and day, but the price reflects that as well. This station has a LiFePO4 battery and discovering how quickly it charges was a revelation for me - literally about 5% per minute, which is amazing, especially when the power is on for 2-3 hours, you can be sure it will be charged to 100%. I also liked its dimensions and weight, it's really compact and very easy to carry, it takes up little space under the table. It's very easy to use - you don't even need to install the phone app because all the information is on the screen, but just in case, the app is very simple and anyone can figure it out. From what I managed to measure - a 55W TV shows it will last for 8 hours, a laptop charger of 150W will charge 5-6 times, haven't used it for anything else yet, mainly it’s used for work, light, and then for relaxation. Now for the downsides that I didn't like. When you connect a 4W desk lamp to it, even with such a load, the coolers (fans) activate, which are quite noisy, like a computer under load. And during charging, sometimes the coolers spin up so much that you can hear it in another room, although the app shows the temperature is only 25 degrees, so it seems like fan control isn’t very intelligent and activates constantly, not based on specific temperature conditions. This could have been done better, but apart from the noise, there are no other downsides. Charging speed of the station, connectors on the front panel, informative display, dimensions, weight Noise from coolers, coolers are not controlled "smartly" |
