Model overview based on user reviews
The Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D tires are noted for their wear resistance, with users expecting them to last for several seasons. They perform well in urban areas where roads are cleared of snow. However, they struggle significantly on icy roads, where users experience poor traction and difficulty in both moving and braking. This results in increased fuel consumption. While the tires are not deemed bad overall, they may not be the best choice for regions with frequent icy conditions. Users suggest that there might be more versatile options available for the same price.
Pros
Cons
It's hard to call these tires bad. In fact, their behavior on ice is quite predictable. To be honest, I haven't yet come across any studless tires that perform perfectly on ice. Therefore, I have no complaints at all. It's just that today I realize that for the same money, I could have found a more versatile option. Quite wear-resistant rubber. I've ridden on it for only one season so far, but I can say that it will definitely last another two years. It rides well in a city cleared of snow, no issues arise. Everything was fine with these tires until I found myself on an icy road. That's when things went completely wrong. I couldn't move forward or brake afterward. The rear axle skids, the grip doesn't work. So, maybe the tires are not bad, but not for our roads. Besides, they cause very high fuel consumption. ![]() |
