The robot vacuum cleaner is the flagship model in the Dreame company's product range, therefore it is priced quite high and comes with advanced features for more efficient operation. It can be called a universal assistant as it performs dry and wet cleaning simultaneously. The high suction power of 12000 Pa allows it to clean parquet, tiles, or thick carpets. The rubberized turbo brush thoroughly collects dry debris and prevents the winding of hair and pet fur, while the side brush sweeps dust from hard-to-reach places along walls and in corners.
For wet cleaning, there are two round attachments that rotate during operation and scrub away dried stains effectively. A major advantage of the robot is that it can detect the type of surface and the level of dirtiness. For example, when it moves onto a carpet, it lifts the mop heads to avoid leaving wet traces behind or completely leaves them on the station. It also recognizes dirt types, identifying complex and sticky stains while selecting a more intensive wet cleaning mode to clean them and increasing power when on a carpet.
For navigation, Dreame X40 Ultra uses a laser rangefinder and an RGB camera with artificial intelligence. Thanks to these, the vacuum identifies over 80 types of obstacles: children's toys, shoes, cords, and more. It navigates well in the space, avoids collisions with furniture, creates separate maps for four floors, and "sees" even in the dark thanks to lighting.
One battery charge with a capacity of 6400 mAh is enough for almost 200 minutes of autonomous operation, which is sufficient for cleaning the entire house. There is a convenient mobile app for control, and the device also understands voice commands thanks to synchronization with Google Home, Siri, and Alexa. However, the main feature of the model is the station, which not only charges the robot's battery but also cleans its attachments.
Inside, there are tanks for clean and dirty water with volumes of 4.5 and 4 liters, a small reservoir for adding detergent, and a replaceable 3.2-liter bag for dry debris, which requires cleaning on average every 75 days. The station empties the collected debris from the dustbin, can refill the vacuum with water if necessary, washes the mop attachments with hot water, and dries them with heated air to avoid the appearance of mold, bacteria, and unpleasant odors.

Advanced Technologies for Dry and Wet Cleaning
The flagship model from Dreame is equipped with advanced technologies that ensure effective dry and wet cleaning. The suction power of 12000 Pa allows thorough cleaning of any surface, coping with fine dust as well as larger debris. For floor washing, two fast-rotating attachments with microfiber cloths are used, simulating manual cleaning.
A feature of the device is the retractable side brush and right mop, which extend beyond the body, providing effective cleaning along walls, in corners, around furniture legs, and in other hard-to-reach places. When moving onto a carpet, the vacuum cleaner automatically increases its power and lifts the mops to avoid wetting the carpet. If necessary, the robot can leave the wet attachments at the station before starting carpet cleaning.
Additionally, there is a flexible adjustment of moisture intensity with 32 available levels. The main turbo brush has special combs that prevent hair and pet fur from tangling.
The Station Does It All
The self-service station fully manages the vacuum cleaner's upkeep. It includes tanks for clean and dirty water with volumes of 4.5 and 4 liters respectively, a 3.2-liter dustbin, and a separate container for cleaning solution. Collected debris is directed into a container that typically requires cleaning every 75 days.
The wet cleaning attachments are washed with hot water and then dried, preventing odors and mold. The station also automatically fills the robot's tank with clean water and, if necessary, doses cleaning solution, ensuring complete autonomy in maintenance.
Intelligent Navigation
The robot is equipped with LiDAR and an AI-powered RGB camera, allowing it to quickly scan spaces, learn room layouts, and create up to 4 maps for different floors. It recognizes over 80 types of obstacles, including cables, shoes, furniture, and toys, and chooses energy-efficient cleaning routes.
Thanks to the intelligent camera, the device also identifies types of dirt—such as sticky or stubborn stains—and automatically intensifies its working mode on such spots. The built-in LED light aids in navigating dark areas and under furniture. Additionally, the camera can be used for video streaming, which allows monitoring of pets and home activities in real time.
