Affordable universal CPU cooling system (processor cooler) with a tower form factor designed for heat dissipation from Mainstream/Performance class processors manufactured by Intel and AMD with a thermal output up to 130W. It is positioned as one of the available products in the mid-price category. It will be of interest to users who are not satisfied with the performance and noise level of stock CPU cooling systems. The basis of the Deepcool GAMMAXX 300 processor cooler is a system of three U-shaped heat pipes with a diameter of 6 mm, the upper part of which is equipped with a heatsink consisting of forty aluminum fins *0.5 mm thick* (distance between fins 2 mm). To enhance heat transfer, the technology of direct contact with a polished pipe surface with the processor heat spreader...cover is used. The aluminum heatsink is blown by a 120 mm fan with PWM control and a durable Hydro Bearing dynamic bearing. Its rotation speed can vary from nearly silent (900 RPM) to increased (1600 RPM), at which an impressive airflow of up to 1.57 m³ per minute is ensured.

Model overview based on user reviews
The Deepcool GAMMAXX 300 is a popular and affordable active cooler designed for CPUs, featuring a single 120mm fan with a noise level of 21 dB and three copper heat pipes. It is praised for its quiet operation and effective cooling performance, making it suitable for processors with a TDP of up to 130W. Users appreciate its compatibility with various sockets, including AMD AM4 and Intel 1150, and its ease of installation, although some find the mounting process challenging, especially on AMD sockets. The cooler is noted for its good price-to-performance ratio, with many users recommending it for non-overclocked or slightly overclocked systems. However, some reviews mention that it can become noisy at higher RPMs and suggest that the cooling efficiency could be improved with a more robust design. Overall, the GAMMAXX 300 is considered a reliable choice for budget-conscious users seeking a quiet and efficient cooling solution.

A good cooler I advise everyone to buy.

A very good cooler, my xeon e3 1230 v2 at idle 27-30 degrees in the AIDA 64 stress test, the temperature did not rise above 58 degrees.
Easy installation on socket 1155, three tubes, it's inaudible at low RPM

The cooler is gorgeous, you can get a cheap one, which is the most important thing

I stupidly can’t hear the computer turning on
Quiet, cools well, it can spin up to a maximum of 1350 rpm
Difficult installation, it was possible to install normally only with the board removed

Buy while the price is not so high!

The model is not bad, I recommend it
Price
noise level
metal fasteners
looks pretty good
3 copper heat pipes
factory-applied thermal paste
very low vibration
decent packaging. Protected on top
the mounting for AMD is a bit tight. I was afraid of breaking the board when installing, barely removed it to change the thermal paste. Noise at maximum speed. But it's all worth it because the hardware doesn't run as hot.

Timeless classic

Due to the low cost of Deepcool GAMMAXX 300 has been one of the most popular tower coolers for many years in a row. Its price is commensurate with simple non-tower coolers like Deepcool Gamma Archer Pro rather than towers from other brands.

Everything ingenious is simple

The GAMMAXX 300 has not lost its relevance even after the release of the AMD AM4 platform, which, due to incompatibility with the AM3 + socket, put an end to many other coolers. The GAMMAXX 300 is fastened not with the help of a back plate (backplate), which AM4 has a different size, but with a universal latch. Thanks to this, the cooler is also very easy to install. The claimed noise level is only 21 dB, but in reality the fan is far from silent, although still within comfort limits.

People's Choice

It will not be possible to install the GAMMAXX 300 except on Intel LGA2011-v3 and 2066 processors, since they require a separate backplate that is incompatible with LGA1150 and 1151. However, the loss is small: a cooler with only three heat pipes cannot be installed on processors with a TDP of 140 W recommended. But Deepcool GAMMAXX 300 is great for building a quiet PC with an Intel Kaby Lake processor (up to 91W) or AMD Ryzen (up to 95W), even if you plan to overclock it a little.
