The charging station was purchased at the peak price in the fall of 2022 for 30 thousand. The station fully meets the stated specifications. It outputs about 500W and holds a little less than 500 Wh, the 220V inverter consumes about 6-7W, which should be taken into account when connecting the inverter. In more powerful stations, the inverter consumption is much higher, so this is normal here. I won't describe the available ports and connectors, everything is in stores, I'll just say - everything works. Even the wireless charging pads. They provide about 11W. The flashlight is good, useful, and is fully used in the room during blackouts. It doesn’t smell like plastic, and the case feels reliable and strong. When I connected a 1500W load with a 500W limit, the protection kicked in, the device turned off after 1 second and didn't turn back on until I connected the power cable. This is probably some kind of idiot-proof protection. Everything works as stated. It can be charged using 220V and additionally via Type-C for faster charging. It charges a bit slowly, about 4 hours if only from 220V. The charger is quite noisy, I charge it from 220V in another room with the door closed. When connecting powerful charging devices to the inverter, such as laptop or monitor power supplies, the block's automation triggers and turns off the inverter. This happens in 90% of attempts. The device thinks that charging capacitors and inductors in power supplies is a current loss due to a short circuit, and the RCD breaks the circuit. The problem can only be bypassed by adding some noticeable additional load, for example, a 25W lamp or something like that, to the connected extension cord where the laptop is plugged in. Then the attempt to turn on 220 volts with such a combined load has about a 30% chance of success. I have no idea how more expensive charging stations handle the connection of laptop gaming power supplies. Maybe there are nuances with the protection trigger as well. |
