the 3D printer Creality Ender 3 V3 SE is an affordable solution for home, scientific centers, and educational institutions. It features an open design with a direct drive extruder and operates on the principle of layer deposition. The model is compatible with limited types of filaments (PLA, TPU, PETG) and supports file types .stl, .obj, .gcode. Object geometry can vary within the dimensions of 250x220x220 mm.
Modeling speed is not very high (250 mm/s), but even the most complex projects will be completed within two days. It includes a heated print bed and automatic printing continuation after power outages. The entire process is fully automated, and a special CR Touch sensor is responsible for calibration and preventing accidental line displacement. The printer is compatible with popular programs such as Creality Print, Cura, and Simplify3D.

Cheap but functional tool, although often the print quality depends not only on the printer, but also on the settings in the slicer and the quality of the plastic. Noisy, no Ukrainian language |
A great model in the budget segment. This is a completely different level compared to the first printers. In this case, it is a ready and well-thought-out product. A good choice for beginners or printing houses that work on quantity production. In my case, this is exactly what happened - this model is the foundation of printers from all my printing houses. Quiet, capable of fast printing, removable bed, inexpensive, pre-configured for acceptable printing out of the box Very cheap coolers (as in all low-budget printers). Due to the size of 25*25mm, the problem cannot be fixed using branded quality coolers, like Noctua. |
A good printer for beginners, an issue is the manufacturing defect of the Z sensor connector, so I recommend immediately removing the cover and applying some hot glue (where the wire ends and connects to the board connector). If you're installing Klipper, make sure to adjust the Z level to the bed to avoid damaging the surface like I did. Beginner-friendly The heater can be replaced with one like in the KE version, allowing printing with plastics up to 300°. Many users have a problem with a poorly compressed bl-touch convector, which is why I burned mine and had to repair it from the start, buying a new sensor |
Open Design
The printer features an open chassis and is equipped with a direct drive Creality Sprite extruder. It operates using layer-by-layer deposition technology, providing a printing speed of up to 250 mm/s. The consumables include PLA, PETG, and TPU plastics with a filament diameter of 1.75 mm.
Automatic Systems
From more advanced models, the printer inherits systems of auto-calibration and automatic platform leveling. It also features a heated bed with a temperature of up to 100°C. The maximum sizes of created objects are 250×220×220 mm — these are the dimensions available with the Creality Ender 3 V3 SE.
Support for a Wide Range of Software
The model is compatible with popular slicing software — Creality Print, Cura, and Simplify3D. It also supports printing directly from SD cards installed in the built-in card reader. For convenience in management, the printer is equipped with a 3.2-inch screen located to the right of the working area.

The printer is quite noisy due to the small size of the main fan, and the fan won't last for years due to large rotations required for effective cooling. It lacks a filament sensor, so if you miss the end of the spool, you need to reprint the entire item from scratch, although this sensor can be installed separately. It doesn’t handle low-quality plastic well, especially those with unstable filament thickness, as the extruder cannot feed it to the nozzle. Of course, much customization has already been invented for this model, and a lot can be printed and bought.
